I saw bobby bare on stage in Peterborough England, and he sang 'The Mermaid Song' when I requested it. He said he hadn't sung it for years, but he never faltered. He is brilliant.

Sorry, I find this version plain boring compared to the version sung by Shel himself. And this guy leaves out one of the most ingenious verses:
