I'm sorry that after you went to all the trouble to cobble this together you still haven't connected the dots; none of it amounts to a "scam." Direct bank transfers are becoming the norm with insurance because you lose coverage if you forget to pay your premiums. You do get to choose your benefits; when you choose the govt's plan over private options, that's a choice to take a certain bundle of benefits. I think if we just focus on getting Americans back to work, the health care crisis will fix itself. Every county needs power plants for electricity-what happened to green energy? Solar panels, water turbines, and wind make tons of clean electricity. Solar panels last over a lifetime too. That would create much needed jobs. Tons of infrastructure need repair. I see very little effort put into that. Focus on jobs and nothing else-everything else will fall into place. Fix causes-not symptoms.

Take the insurance costs of all privately insured, find the average cost. Then pay the private insurance that amount. Conditions: turn no one away, doctors have full control, everything that is needed is included,covered by tax dollars. It would force insurance companies to focus on prevention. According to the house bill, you can keep your private insurance until there is any change in the policy. If there is a change then you will have to go on the exchange. So it seems eventually everyone will be on public health care. The private companies can't compete against the government who can negotiate the lowest rates over every private company. The Obama health care plan is a mistake. There are other options like allowing people to buy insurance outside their state and maybe even vouchers. The republicans have brought up a few plans but they were all voted down by the democrats. If the government can't even take care of Social Security then how can it take over health care. This however will make the insurance companies have an advantage against the public option (the public option will take on the most expensive portion of the population as medicare does).
