uh......I just want to mention that the morning after pill is NOT an abortion pill. Until 24 hours after having sex there has been no fertilization of the egg yet, aka the sperm have not reached the egg yet or the egg has not nisted in the placenta yet. The morning after pill causes the placenta or whatever to seal itsself.

And in many cases, the parents they end up with through adoption turn out to be WORSE than their initial parents. Not only that, the child has to grow up never knowing their real parents.
Or, you can save the child the torment of growing up in an orphanage and use its cells for stem cell research. Those cells could one day save one of your loved ones, or even yourself.

You know I will say about religion though is that it is a very good useful means to get people to behave morally. I mean if someone is stupid enough to get an abortion then we can obviously not expect them to be able to make moral decisions all by themselves. They need some "guidance," and maintaining religion can provide that.

Scientific evidence? There is plenty. The definition of life is, to be capable of vital functions, Once the embryo is conceived it goes through functions and starts evolving, scientific evidence.

The most common pro-choice arguments are "scientists don't know when life starts," and "some scientists believe babies don't feel pain until they leave the womb."
(I'm not kidding about the second one. I actually found that on a popular pro-choice website)

To the larger point though, the reductio ad hitlerum is a fallacy is merely a distraction anyway. That said I do think that Franco and Pinochet had good policies on fetal rights. I'm glad our government supported both of them. :)Cheers!

No one "likes" abortion. But whose decision should it be? Can the government put a gun to your head and say, "You must have this baby?" And why is a fertilized egg called a baby, but an unfertilized egg is not? Should we lock up women each time they have their period? If you want to call something a baby, that's fine with me. But decide when it becomes a baby. 3 months? 6 months? 9 months? And don't "pretend" the issue is about saving babies. It's about government controlling your decisions.

These guys don't know a damn thing about Fascism. Nazi Fascism wasn't anti-gay. Ernst Rohm, the head of the Nazi SA, and his coterie were openly homosexual. Homosexuals had a strong voice in the socialist left (then and now). Study Nazi history and literature and you'll find dozens and dozens of tracts that are Pro-Gay. Ernst Rohm was killed on the "Night of Long Knives" because he threatened the Hitler's consolidation of power.
That is and was fascism.
