We should save that sign that the city put in front of the Tea Party's booth, and when all of the city council members run for re-election, put the sign up in front of their re-election signs and posters. and just change the first part of the sign from, THE CITY OF PORT St.LUCIE, to THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF PORT ST.LUCIE,DOES NOT SUPPORT OR CONDONE THE VIEWS OF THESE INDIVIDUALS IN THIS SECTION.
I have lived in PSL for 22 years financially it has been very rewaeding fo me thar is why I stay, thougth I would make that statement before all the name calling
ignorant bloggers told me to leave. When
I moved here I said the cirty had no character ie downtown, center etc. nothing to attract large groups for gathering etc, like even downtown Fort Pierce, the city to their credit TRIED to fix this by building a nini Taj Mahal to compete with private enterprise , hotels and the such for $.
Now I realize what this city does not have is not something physical what it does not have is a soul. Will they put up their sign where the girl scouts sell their cookies? Where hospice has a fundraiser? Where Chidren with disabilities try to raise funds, where Acorn tries to recruit voters people withou a soul find it impossible to understand other people. Most lawyers are a good example Mr. Orr and Barney Frank type Polititicians Mr. Cunningham are good examples and of course cooper.
@bcass2 I just wanted to say, I totally agree w/your idea! Wouldnt it be a 'Blessing to be able to do back unto them, as they have to the Tea Party Group'! Of course thats just a dream in this world of which we live now.
Can someone tell me why they say we are a "political" group? We dont endorse candidates, we dont support parties. We will hold any government official accountable for violations of their duty regardless of the letter after their name. The only special interest we represent is Freedom and the Constitution. Last I checked they are not political but AMERICAN.
Notice how the one setion B sign is placed between the ight pole and the larger sign, why was it not place beneath the larger sigh? Simply because then it would not have acted as a barrier to the "Tea Party" booth. Ed C unningham is a lieing disengeuous hollow voice who has a very
unique agenda. Why in this economical climate do we have to pay someone to speak for the people we elected, are they to important? to Chicken? To ignorant?
We are not a 'political group' we are concerned citizens. We were exercising our rights under the Constitution for Freedom of Speech and Peacable Assembly to petition the government for a redress of grievances. There is no Right not to be offended.
Why were politicians and candidates allowed to participate in the parade? Was there a disclaimer at the front of their motorcade?
Vendor booths besides the Tea Party and Chruch were in 'Section B" and their traffic was impacted as well.
Ha! Seperate but equal..."to avoid the cost of litigation (we don't want this here, but those stupid Constitutional laws make us have to). I think having a seperate booth area for non food and drink stuff is fine, but that little quip on the sign shows the cities true motive and is slanderous. Free speach is alive and well huh? You libs think you can talk your way out of anything. Talk talk talk. And I hope this little video was made not using tax payer funded personel or equipment.

Waah, waah, waah. Conservatives sure have become whiny crybabies.
I'm sure you all cried just as much when George Bush's minions herded protesters into a caged areas blocks from events, didn't you? You didn't? I'm stunned!!!!
By your faulty logic, our founding fathers should have had nothing to complain about because they tolerated the monarch's abuse prior to their secession.
But just so you know, I did think that excluding dissenters at Bush rallies was wrong. So now you can do something for me.
Might I suggest that everyone watch the video of where the sign was placed.. the video that this is in response to. To the left of the "tea party booth is a booth selling t-shirts, shoes, clothing. What "political" or "potentially offensive" message is contained in shirts and shoes?
Actually the booth next to us was a church and the one to our right was just a normal vendor that should have been in Section A, the same section where a psychic was doing palm readings. Oh by the way there was no sign in front of his booth or section.
Hey Ed, look at my video there is a third booth selling items next to the Tea Party booth, what political view did they have? Also, what about the sign clearly shown in my video that the was directly in front of our booth. You mentioned the sign at the entrance but nothing about this sign. Please explain??? I lobe that you now have to back peddle becuase you know the City is wrong and did infringe on our rights.
the city of PSL would never have done this to the NAACP, despite their political agendas!!! this action is a clear violation of this groups rights!!! the city should promptly apologize to these people! shame on PSL!
was in a remote segregated area and the sign was placed to block access to the booth. You should be fired, and if you are not we will do everything we can to see the people who do not fire you are fired by us. I try not to call people names
I believe it is a sign of ignorance, but it would be a larger example of ignorance to let you think you are slick enough to cover this up.
