While Amerie don't have the singing chops of Beyonce, her talent IS there and uniquely combined with the efforts of Rich on this and her 1st albums. She needs to reunite with him as her 1st 2 projects were REALLY good, and didn't get the credit they deserved!

I think Amerie and Beyonce are in 2 different generes, I would say that Amerie could be pop but I believe she has more urban where as Beyonce is more of the Pop, you will here her more in the clubs than Amerie. Loved Amerie From "Why cant we fall in Love" Always one of my fav of hers.
This would sound so perfect in 1980! The way that producer Rich Harrison crashes those drums so much is reminscent of those R&B funk bands like Cameo and Kool and The Gang from 1980. Recalls those classic records in this 2005 song! That's what I thought at first listen! I love the yeah-yeah-yeah-yeah-yeah-yeah-yeah-yeahs in that song! Sounds like she had fun making that song!
