@thesteveus Nicko was a big fan of The Sooty Show, and loved it so much, he used to get his wife to tape it for him when he was away on the road! lol The producers of The Sooty Show found out about this, and so invited Nicko to appear on the show. From then on, to commemorate the event, and to show his gratitude, Nicko started draping a Sooty puppet on his drum kit when playing live, a practice he has kept up ever since! xD

I went to see Maiden on the Seventh Tour. They had a guy come down a rope ladder in a sooty costume, and lots of fans threw Sooty puppets on stage! Freakin hilarious
