He uses ad populum fallacy to sway the uneducated and/or bitter people leading them to be in a state of "righteous" (they think it's correct), emotional fury. Thus, he divides the nation into hating each other because of different ideals.

For example, saying that Obama is a socialist who is ruining the country when Obama doesn't even fit in the definition of a socialist. But Billy Bob Joe wouldn't know that, so they continue to listen to him.

Well, he openly exclaims that he hopes the president fails, in turn hoping that he hopes the country fails. Aside from that, he's just utterly useless to our society, but is far to high up on his pedestal to admit that he's probably never solved a single problem in his life without having caused 1000 other ones first.

Whether or not to consider him a loser is, by all means, up to you. I'm just telling you why a lot of people (myself included) feel they have a moral obligation to call him one.
