On my system it runs with 40-50 fps on maximum and it is pretty good. on yours you should try to play on minimum\medium settings depending on how much performance the chosen settings costs, HBAO on Off (ca. 20% gain of performance, Antialiasing and Anisotropic Filtering to Off and 2x and Distance of View and other things to low...you can tweak and optimize by trying and testing some settings in options!

No. A macbook doesn't have the power required to run a game like this. You would need some heavy machinery to run this. And as of right now I don't think there is a Mac version of the game.

The server software dosnt work , people loose connection , massive long loading time , and what is the fun in that ??

We have a Dedicated 32ply server , but due to massive fails , our server plus alot of others has been on hold/Pending since march´8-2010 .

It depends on what you find tolerable as far as frame rates are concerned. Personally, for fast paced games I prefer as close to 60fps as possible, but for games like this I'd imagine that only around ~35fps avg. is necessary. A lot of it depends on the individual viewer, some friends of mine can play call of duty below 30fps, but I can't play with that kind of slowdown.

I think that the nVidia 8800GTS 320MB with a Core 2 Quad is up to the task of playing this game pretty well. If you want to upgrade the video card I'd recommend an ATI Radeon HD 5770 or better(preferably the HD5850).

Yeah, you need at least a dual core to play this game. If I were you I'd buy the new AMD Athlon II 620. It's a quad core that costs less than $100 and is a great deal for the money. As for the video card, if your power supply is good enough and your case is big enough, go for the ATI Radeon HD5650 or higher.

Actually, after looking at benchmarks I see that if you can reach the recommended requirements, running the game is really easy. Apparently quad cores make a huge difference over duals.

The recommended requirements are high for the PC, but if you have hardware that's close to what they recommend, I say go for the PC version. I was a huge fan of the original Battlefield 2 and this game looks really good too.

A GT240 with a Core 2 Quad, Core i7 or Phenom II should be more than enough. I've heard that there's all sorts of PC exclusive stuff on it. I think the console also runs a low resolution of 1280 by 720 with 0xaa too, if that matters to you. I've also heard that the beta had serious problems that were fixed in the final version. If I were you, I'd wait until more benchmarks come in that were tested on the final product.

Some steam games have DRM but I prefair steam as I dont have to keep swopping game disks but the download on steam can take 12 hours for the massive games. I've not enjoyed a team fps since BF2 and Team Fortress 2 they all seem to be designed for kids that just camp and want to get scores instead of having a laugh like we did in BF2.
