These are not elections for a "European parliament " ( several European countries e.g. Norway and Switzerland ) are not taking part !

These are elections for the EU parliament.

The same parliament that recently voted AGAINST having their expenses made public.

The same parliament that voted AGAINST the democratic will of French,Dutch and Irish voters on the constitution/Lisbon treaty.

Now they expect us to vote for them and to give them credibility !

And by the way, the European parliament is the more democratic institution of the EU... So if you want more democracy within the EU, you should vote for people who want to make the European parliament stronger...

Finally, a strong Europe will always have more weight when talking to China for instance, than the UK alone (not to mention smaller countries like Grece). So whenever there's a common ground, it's better to have it expressed as a single voice, isn't it?

Maybe we should ask China if they want to join the EU ? They are not part of Europe but who cares...neither is Turkey ?

The EU parliament is the ONLY " democratic " institutiuon of the EU. The trouble is,not one single european was ever ASKED if they wanted it !

Say NO to Lisbon/the constitution !

Say NO to an un-elected commission drafting YOUR laws !

Don't give them the legitimacy they crave...don't vote.

You elected your national government. So if you don't be part of the EU you have to vote a national (!) government that wants to leave. It makes no sense to blame the EU for being unwanted: you votet for it by voting the pro-eu goverment in your country! And voting for some shit on the EU elections will not solve this "problem". This can only be done by your local politicans. They are the people who decide to leave or to stay.

btw: Saying "no" to Lisbon is saying "yes" to Nizza.

The EEC/EU marriage swindle.

Imagine going out with a girl in the 1970's called EEC. A nice little relationship based on mutual " trading " of affection.

Many years later,you wake up with a huge hangover and find yourself married to her even though you never proposed or gave your consent !

To make matters worse,the marriage certificate states that you are not allowed to do or spend anything without consulting her first !

The certificate also reveals her real name...EU !

With the new lisbon treaty a member state can "divorce" the EU. I dont think a divorce will happen since the EU brings a great amount of political power to the member, economic stimulus through trade and access to funding for specific scientific projects to further drive the growth of the country.

Well gee, that would be the same people who voted in favor of the Lisbon Treaty (aka European Constitution) which has been overruled by referendums in 3 different countries. The very same people who cheered the rape of democracy! I dont think I'd like to support those people.

Byt the way, the European Parliament is a democratic institution? It has no power whatsoever and is only there to create cushy jobs for retiring politicians.
