(CONT. 2) So instead of helping me, it made me gain weight, stay up for days and burst into tears randomly. I'm sure it works for many people, but yes, they should be more careful and look for other solutions first. I think these meds are meant to help where your body can't do it alone and/or to keep you safe in the meantime. It's a shame they give it out so quickly.
(lol sorry for the long posts. Just had to share ;) anyway, great vid.)
@ChajaYudelevitz it seems to me for every person those meds help, there are many others who go thru a living hell bcuz of them. i've seen firsthand the damage that they cause. i don't think it's worth it for doctors to play god and use ppl as guinea pigs. have u ever read "toxic psychology" - very thought provoking...
(CONT.) After refusing meds all that time, I eventually had to try it too, because there was nothing else we could think of, but the various meds I tried didn't do shit but make me hungry all the time and keep me awake at night.
I agree, you know. I had a major depression (I still suffer from it, but it's not as bad as before... it's kinda on/off) and I have spent years trying to figure out ways to get out of it, with doctors, therapy, etc. and I even spent about a year in mental health clinics. I noticed SO MANY people around me who were told to use meds, hadn't even been diagnose ye, and before trying to o figure out what was going on, the psychiatrists just let the meds "do the work".
great post!!! you make a valid point.
