  • have they actually collected pieces for the rings or they guessing?

  • Fucking awesome. I wish I could be there.

  • i think this aired on discovery or science in the u.s.? did he go to a military base to talk about atomic clocks in this one?

  • Brian always has a sort of brilliant charm to him

  • @Kow8675309 fail

  • Wow, that's beautiful.

  • Physics cannot explain how a bicycle works! Look it up

  • @PaintSlinger99 Yes it can. It's all to do with force, motion and mechanics.

  • i wanna watch the series now!!!!!

  • I <3 Saturn

  • He is beautiful.

  • Always been fascinated by Saturn, of course for a better understanding i shall watch the accompanying videos suggested by youtube such as 'myleen klass makes crab cakes' and 'christine bleakley does salsa'

  • @evertonthetoffeemen nope... you're just too dumb to appreciate it!!!!

  • @evertonthetoffeemen you seek your thrills from small boys then?...Brian cox is a genious, hence his stardom and

portfolio...who are you to badly comment him when you sit at home doing nothing for society and masturbate over toffee men and football youth teams

  • If their made up of ice then why aren't they blue with oxygen or maybe there is no oxygen in that kind of ice since its in space...idk

  • Its so beautiful to imagine

  • David Bowman already told me ...

  • wow, how beautiful is this video?

  • @blackphone Shh, don't tell the christian creationists that beauty exists outside the realm of g-d.

  • @evertonthetoffeemen Ekhm what did you expected? Arnold Schwarzenegger with big gun? Dude, this series is THE BEST of it's kind.

Found it very, very entertaining. Some times you need something different from that MTV style programs, that I'm sick of

  • where there's water there is life ,

ice is a form of water ,

    it means .....

    THERE CAN BE ALIENS

  • Just ordered the dvd box can't wait!

  • Why do 2 people dislike this!!!??

  • @evertonthetoffeemen wtf... what were you expecting?

  • Nice video! I will never forget the first time I seen Saturn’s rings in a telescope, very beautiful!

  • Beautiful.

  • @evertonthetoffeemen why dont you find the wonders of the universe entertaining enough?

  • this is true good.

  • Does that mean that the rings have polar bears hunting on them?

  • @rootbeerfan6 Yes.

  • Brian Cox makes science sexy :)

  • beautiful.

  • @evertonthetoffeemen so why would u waste ur time watching it ?

  • FREAKIN ALIENS!!!!

  • how hot is it in outerspace?

  • @weward -50c as i heard but im not sure so u better check

  • @MrRromy i heard about -220 degrees celsius.

  • @weward its tropical -270C

  • if you go outside the atmosphere of the earth and the sunlight touches your skin will you burn? coz im thinking that here on earth the sunlight is already hot what more in the outerspace...is it this way?

  • why does it look there that is dirt on some of the ice

  • @abrikos22 Icebergs come from glaciers which form on land and kind of slowly slide out to the ocean. As that happens they can pick up a lot of material. An image search for "glacier flows" will give a couple examples of how dirty they can be in sections.

  • didnt saturn lose its rings? or was that just a rumor?

  • @drahunter213 Lol, you've been hoodwinked mate :D

  • @AForsakenHero indeed LMAO! research time B-)

  • I have a quick question, why does it form on what would seem to be one level/plain? Where as things that orbit the earth can be found scattered throughout the sky?

  • @Reifgar It follows the gravity of the moons, and is actually not plain from up close.

  • @agearmaster1 Well on a cosmic scale it is far more planar than not. But I should have figured that bit about the moons. Stupid me. Thank you.

  • @BiggrWiggrthnmrNiggr prove it? ow wait they cant,....they r just gessing that

  • @TheZingg In my opinion and from what I've read I think they come from a former small moon of Saturn which just broke due to gravity or collapsed with another object? Or maybe it's the way in which moons formed, because between the rings, there are tiny little sattelite moons formed from the rings... So yeah... no proof but speculation but cool to wonder about it anyway :)

  • @BiggrWiggrthnmrNiggr Planets and Moons. Not just one.

  • Not a fan of Brian Cox so I don't watch his programs. Besides which, all he does is rehash already available and known information. Nothing new and his voice is annoying.

  • @SpinachSalad01 watch brian cox - 2012

  • Is there a place on earth where we can see some more planets from earth than moon?

  • @Atisnemm1 Our Moon isn't a planet. Yes, the brightest planets in the sky are Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn and they can all be seen with the naked eye. Google will help you find out when they can be seen from where you are.

  • This was a great series about our Solar System. I can watch it over and over :)
