Michael is a professional football player now.....his mother was a crack head and abandoned him when he was 7 years old...he walked the streets and begged for food and often didnt have a place to live .....then the Tuohy family seen him walking in the snow with just a T shirt and gym shorts and they decided to help him;....it is a true story.....and a wonderful movie

I think that movie *Preciuos* may get better acclaim cus it's produced by Oprah Winphrey although it does deal with *rising up from the ghetto" theme

I agree but this movie sucks too. White woman helping a black guy cuz white peoples are so smart n nice!!! UGH, "I ain't eva slept in no bed befoh!" Jesus, I know it's a true story but come on.. so fucking lame... and a little stereotypical. I'm caucasian btw I can make fun of my race haha. BUT yeah I feel ya.
