I use to love getting up in the morning and first thing I would do is pop this in my Cube and see what was new with the town! lol. I also LOVED it when it rained! The sound of you running on the grass, and the sweet, smooth music that use to play. Along with the rain drops hitting the floor....it was the best! <3

I miss a lot of the music from the GameCube version of Animal Crossing. Wild World was mostly new compositions and City Folk just used mostly higher quality versions of the Wild World soundtrack. Gutted. I hope there is a great mix between old and new (and not just with music, but all aspects) in Animal Crossing 3DS.

Animal Crossing started in Japan on the N64, which was the main Nintendo console before the GameCube. However, when the game came to America, they remade it for the Gamecube, so it's pretty much the oldest version.

It was such an honor to grow up playing this game, the gamecube version I mean. No one born in this millenium has the right to say that but personally I think its all the sounds and music from this game that are so nostalgic!
I think I liked the grid system more than the rolling log look. Although its cool, I think the grid system organized the game more and it was easier to navigate the region for certain things.

But I think Nintendo should have supported the GameCube a little longer after the wii game out. But I wouldn't want the gamecube to live long and not die like the PS2. My friends also tell me "Why do you still play gamecube games on the gamecube, even though the wii can play them?" I say "It's not the same, they were meant for gamecube."

Guys, I don't get this, the music won't fit, bushes create less space to dig, golden trees, you can get that,the camera view is more realistic in city folk, I saw the streets go down like millions of times before, no one looks at it so much. Its so creepy how NO ONE thought of this.

While Wild World's was lacking, it was still NEW. ACCF's was WW's, with no new effort put into it.

@larion95 I played and owned all three of the animal crossing games, plus many, many Nintendo games. I suppose this is all a matter of opinion, but to me Nintendo has always had good music for MOST of their games.

I just had a friend telling me about this lovely game,.. she played it for 6 months straight.. disk never left the drive... Guys, I don't get this, the music won't fit, bushes create less space to dig, golden trees, you can get that,the camera view is more realistic in city folk, I saw the streets go down like millions of times before, no one looks at it so much. Its so creepy how NO ONE thought of this.

they bring back a few things from the original game to city folk. To be honest the original and the one for the wii are more related than the ds version.

As old as the game is it feels SO fresh, like a sunny day right after rain! It feels so much different than AC:WW and CF and it's always so green and pretty, I hope they make a new one with bushes and grass that doesn't die and an island and SOCCER BALLS! lol
