Sorry to inform people of this, but the ones on eBay are almost always counterfeit, this is one of the most copied flashlights in the world. The Led Lenser in this video is also a fake. I used to work for an authorized reseller of these lights and we were given a catalog on how to spot fakes and this one is 100% fake. That being said, the knock off that you have does appear to be of higher quality than the average knock off.
My P7 is a bit different. If you hold the button down it will give you full power. But if you click it once it'll go to medium. Click it a second time and it will go to low. Then click it a third time and it turns off. So it's high, medium, low and off for me. But yours was high, low, medium and then off. Any ideas as to why its like that? Oh and the area where your red and black wires are showing is covered by a LedLenser sticker for me. Maybe you took yours off huh? Very nice review though.!
Hi Can u show us the Video for Lenser X21 Flashlight. Heard that it is damn Bright as show from Youtube. see type this on Youtube: LED LENSER X21 P7 TEST
or Led lenser x21
Price Only $260 at 1060 Lumen. It looks like 2200 Lumen on video. Is it really able to shine up to 500m? Do u have the Video to show us at True 500m range.
Ive tried to find this everywhere and cant. What is the battery life on max power/medium power/minimum power? It states 130 hours everywhere but what is it for max setting, maybe 1 hour, if that?
received mine today. For 200 lumens, HELL it is brighter than any other 200 lumens out there. Awesome torch. I've own a SSC MTE 900 lumens, and p7 just killed (throw wise) Also got a 300 lumens Fenix, and 180Q5 P1D fenix, P7 is overpowered compared to those 2
I bought one. It is the best small flashlight I have ever seen. Compact, solid construction, with ordinary batteries. Great product and I use it on the job in law enforcement.
These are versitile torches, but lack any punch compared to the fenix TK11 R2 or even the new PD30 R2 and i have the new 200 lumen version P7. On spot there is almost no spill and on wide there is a lack of depth.
They are quite big for the small output too.
Best small torch so far, that i have found is the Fenix PD30 R2.
In most cases NIMHrechargable batteries are not a good option for low current consumption devices. They usually have a very high self discharge rate (the battery runs flat even when in storage). This is one of the reasons they are not recommended for remote controls and smoke detectors where the self discharge is greater than the amount of power consumed by the device.
you dont need high voltage in a regulated flashlights.. Duracell active charge and sanyos best batteries stay up to 90% of it's charge for a year.. flashlights that dont run good with rechargbles is not worth buying
looks like it need 6v to get any good lumen output.. 4AAA nimh are only 4.8v.. my fenix tk20 runs even better with 1.2v nimh vs 1.5v alkaline... maybe duracell pay led lenser to make flashlight that use lots of batteies and dont run good on nimh... they sell more batteries that way...
most led lensers are not that good.. most of them drop to 75% after 10-15min.. and to 50% 40-50min.. fenixx 2AA flashlight keep 90-100% for 1:30-2:30h.. and my t7 dont get any good lumen output on my duracell 1000nimh batteries..
p7 just look different. Not one of LL flaslights are real tactical flashlights. fenix is way better than LL. Just go to flashlight forums or read some real flashlight reviews. LL suck.. Gave my t7 away. Wish I bought all my flashlighs from fenix. I am still stuck with 2 crapy Led lensers. David19 and h7 headlight.
it is okay if you don`t use it every day.. keep it in your car or stuff like that.. for pro every day use it not so good.. you can`t even use litium batteries in it.. LL say only use alkalines.. for my use I would after 1-2 years save what you payd for your p7 just by using recharbles in my fenix.. sell it and buy a 2AA fenix flashlight. even E20 is better than p7 in my book.. Ld20 and tk20 are nice flashlights..
hi there!!! iam interested in this light... could somebody please tell me what is the diameter of the body of this light. i know its at 1.4" (35.56mm) at the head.
Hi,great review by the way.Can you tell what what the battery life is like on full power mode and is it a lot more powerful than the police tech focus as ive just bought one but think thinking of sending it back and gettin a P7. Thanks.
police tech has 60 lumens, this has 170 or something, i was debating between this one and the polce tech but in the end i bought this one as it is much more powerfull, also battery life is 50 on economy (Low) setting. i have used it for about 8 hours so far on full and no problems so i estimate at least 10, maybe 15-20.
Thanks for the helpfull reply,i sent the police tech back the other day for the P7 sounds like I made the right move!.I just wasnt sure because of the battery life on full power but if you have got 8 hours out of it and its still going then it cant be bad. Thanks.
Hey Nonkel I have a question. Is this flashlight water resistant? Also I have the T7 flashlight by Led Lenser do you know if this one is water resistent also?
That said, a few users have said there's were not 100% waterproof, but manufacturer claims it is.
If you dip it in water for 10-30 secs or so, you might see a little bit of water vapour/bubbles on the inside, if so then its not 100% waterproof, otherwise it is. (if that little bit of water goes in, it wont do anything, just let it dry)
i am not nonkel but i can answer anyway, quoting led lensers packaging information the 'main tube high grade aluminium housing is splash proof'' so you can use it in the rain or something (i have and no problems, and it was heavy rain) but i would not immerse it in water. Check out my video of the P7
i don't know what the last two are but i would use the police tactic for house and p7 for car, the reason is in the house you are probably in the city, therefore it won't be picth black and you will only need a less light to use in the house, the car however if you breakdown at night in the countryside then you will need all the light you can get Also if your headlights break you can use the p7 to drive, i have tried it, you just get the passenger to point it out the side window, s
Really nice review. I havent heard of this light and its not too common here in the U.S. I think, but I think I'll give it a try. Looks like a solid light.
I got mine... Its amazing! The 100 and 130 % settings are great... so much light! My only quim is that the 30% economy mode is a bit weak... i think economy mode should be more like 50%. But still... its great. I recommend this to anyone looking to buy a compact torch that gives a lot of light. If you think its expensive... buy it and you will see why.
Excellent review. Both parts. Before i decide weather to get one or not.... Id like to ask if it is possible for you to do another mini review of use of the torch outside in the forest. Im a night security guard and the company provided torch is terrible. Thanks.
Thank you for the comment! Glad my review can be helpful fr you. I already have some video's I've done in the forest using this torch, unfortunately my camera does not pick up the light very well ( Try checking out other video of the P7 users who test it. It doesen't seem too bright ) I can assure you, for the profession of
a security guard, this torch will illuminate your way easily for minimum of 100m and maximum of 170-200m. Only drawback of the P7 ( in catruary to the security personnel favorite: big maglite ) is that the P7 is smaller and ergonomical. That means, I'd suggest wearing a telescopic baton in case you get into a nasty situation recuiring self defence! You definatelly need to consider this.
Thanks for the reply, I guard an empty building site so I hardly ever see anyone... maybe i will see some people when this torch arrives :-)
I tried a maglite rechargable and found the light excellent and yes, it was quite big. How does the light on this compare to that maglite? Ill be getting the K3 with it aswell as a gift. Good ebayers!
Oh yes you will definatelly see people with this thing :) and yes you will get more light from the P7. And the speed focust is a very nice option as well. i don't like the maglite because the focus is not realy good. Well man, have a little patience. Tell me what you think when you have the torch in your hands ;)
