Put it like this, I have a buddy Chris Norris over here who works with kicker and is endorsed through his and I's audio teams. He had the 2010 series kicker cvx's clear back in july last year, as a PROTOTYPE set, and did GREAT, so ....

If you need prove i'll be glad to prove it.

an answer to your proposed question yes and no. the cone was the main change. the new one is a lot more "ridged" (less cone flex) that and it is just a hair deeper and the hole you would cut for the mounting is a little smaller

well i got the kicker ZX1000.1 and the hit... hard.  but if i could get a ZX1500.1 that would work too

@zootruck thats the amp I have, the kicker 1500.1, but I use it to power 2 cvx 15's, the last version though, and they give me headaches, ha ha

well i got the stickers with the subs (they were in the boxes) and i live here in stillwater where kicker has the corprate headquators so i got them directly form the source. i was the first consumer to have them installed in a car or truck

hey i want to buy some 2010 kicker cvrs but i want the 2010 cvxs, the only problems is i have a ext cab silverado truck with a downfire box. the box doesnt have a lot of air space, so wha do recomend? the cvr or cvx? for my downfire box. cause i hear the cvxs need alot of air space so which do you recomend?

for you cvr but you can delete the back seat and go with a pair of 15" L7's

i just installed some new 2010 kicker comps and thay are way better than the old comps i installed them in a sealed box i would really recomend them for getting a system on a budget

KIcker solo classic 12's, would a jl audio 450/4 v2 amp be good for those subs?

mainly the cone shape. it looks alot like the solo classic. The cvr and and comp also sport this new look. other than that the speaker is modled after the L7 but just round.

The old CVX was a 2006 this one is a 2010. Same guts as a L7 just round

the new cvr's cone is made of the same strong material same as the L7 and the older one's are dame from some plastic

I just bought the 06 versions of the cvx 15", man do they pound, now kicker just updated there site, oh well, mine hit so hard that I could bust my windows, nice kicker man
