Thank you for sharing what you went through, brought me to tears as I have been going through this for a while now. I know in my heart that He is there and He has His reasons, I just miss His presense which nothing compares to that on this earth. God bless and keep you and yours. In Jesus mighty and precious name.
Beautiful song, but I have wondered something of believers as an atheist. Do you actually hear a voice when in prayer? What does God sound like when not silent? I don't mean to mock or insult, I am just curious because God has been "silent" all my life despite the various faiths I've tried and studied. I would appreciate anyone taking the time respond.
We throw our prayers up to God in the throws of our pain and to be honest, a lot of times we get nothing back in response. It is almost like a door been slammed in our faces. We cry louder to our Papa only to receive silence as an answer to our hurts. In our bitter weeping, the silence surrounds us like a blanket. It's then we realize that the silence is our Father embracing us.....
One of the reasons people go searching for "god" elsewhere is because of the "silence of god". When you pray and get nothing, when god fails you then you have no other choice but to search for a real god who will actually answer your prayers and gives a damn about you.
We as a country are going through a time of " silence from God ". Our choice was to do things our own way. No Prayer in our schools, the Ten Commandments removal from our court houses, the pornography on the internet, and the abortion of the very gifts from God ! I pray that God's judgement be swift -----
@HisGrace1954 i understand you. i think He is just waiting for us to wait before Him on the ground, repenting and asking Him to replace death with His Joy again. He is listening to that prayer... dont pray for judgement yet!
According to Rick Warren, the author of Purpose-Driven Life:
"God sometimes appears MIA (Missing-In-Action), in your life. He hasn't promised, "You will always feel my presence." In fact, God admits sometimes He hides His face from us (Isaiah 45:15). Yet, He has promised repeatedly, "I will never leave you nor forsake you." Often this feeling of abandonment or estrangement has nothing to do with sin. It is a test of faith.
Believe me saying that God is silence and everything we hear and see is born out of this silence. Silence is a other word for presence/eternity, showing us we live in God his consciousness. Watch and hear, see that everything returns to that silence, is going back to eternity. All harm, pain and sadness is not coming from silence but from our mis conception not understanding the Silence God is.
It is the silence of God that is the greatest of aches of a believer's heart. After many years of God's silence I finally had to tell Him..."it's Your business how you want to behave - if you don't want to talk, fine. I'll just go about doing what I have to do to stay sane...because it's the natural state to be in communion with You. Whatever else is going on, however You want to be I can't change You. Amen." Even Jesus cried out to the Father..."why have You forsaken me?"
Thank you so much for putting this song up, our praise and worship leader does this song to worship too and it always makes me cry!!! God and Jesus are worthy to be praised!!!
sometimes the pain is unbearable....just then you need Him to show us how to come out of it...he is the BEST teacher...Thanks sister for dis song....GBU
yes... there are times were everything seems and feels to be just tooooo much, and sooo SOO unbearable... we are kind of stretched way beyond our selves... but He is there with us - and will always take us through all things and times...
Thank you for sharing such a wonderful video, inspiring to my heart. God will equip you for every good work, and your ministry to others will grow through His love. Bless you for sharing this with us.
TY, I always pray that He will shine brighter through my life as days and different times are passing by... we live by Him, through Him and for Him - and may more and more of our lives and words bring Him glory and praise!
Only you are lost without God because you are weak. You use God as a crutch, and as an answer to all your unknowns. But it's false, you are just lying to yourself. That is why you doubt God because for a period of time, you want to be intellectually honest with yourself. The world is a harsh place, its not all butterflies and rainbows. There are people suffering, Haiti's population was mostly Christian, but now 50,000 are dead from a natural disaster. Where is God then? Why would he allow that?
Everyone who has ever lived has died. Everyone who is alive now will die someday. Death and suffering are difficult experiences to struggle with, certainly, but they are not points against God's love, mercy or existence. I think you will find that many of the people of Haiti and Chile are still Christians even after experiencing such devastation.
@Dwaithy ...honest points and questions. My perspective now is that not all of modern Christian ideas, usually evangelical, are valid. Many have broken down over time and are now being questioned. I think you may be reacting to the simplistic evangelical worldview that tends to hide the tough side of God. One idea I think answers many questions you raise is Forrest Gump's idea: alongside Divine Will (destiny) there is operating Randomness (accident) at the same time. Totally different approach.
@Dwaithy Revelation 21: 1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.
2 ...
3 ...
4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
God states more than once in the bible that there will be suffering on earth but he also states that there will be a NEW earth and a new heaven
@Dwaithy and that all suffering will be gone when the day comes when he creates that new earth. I could go into a long rant about how I know, maybe not God specifically is real, but that there is a "higher power". anyways I have one more thing to add. If you dont completely know a religion then dont try and say that its not right. its very annoying. and i mean that in the nicest way you could possibly take that.
Thank you for making this video. I love it and yes, I have felt this way many times and it was in that "Silence", that I was drawn closer in my walk with God. When the heartaches and the tears flow and you are in the "Silence of God", He is still there with us... as He holds us up and gives us strength. I do believe that trials make one stronger in faith and testimony.
God bless you, my sister.. for your heart of God... and for sharing it with us all. Love ya, YSIC ~ Trish
through times of silence we really get to see if we have surrendered our everything to God, if we live a surrendered life even then...we all want to mature as followers of Christ, but to often we seem to forget that we need some rain to appreciate the sun, and that it's also through the blowing storms our roots will grow deeper down and we become stronger in Him...
1.Pet.5.10 - *after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast.*
When I think of Jesus kneeling in the garden, my heart remembers how very blest life is, even thru all those circumstances of it that test our faith. I think further to when He cried out to our Heavenly Father on Calvary's cross, sis ... somehow, things don't look as bad as they might seem when I ponder these things. TY sis Cecilie for another blessed share in Christ; Who is our inspiration by example ... just beautiful :) God bless my friend. YSI Jesus ~ Claire :)
One of the things that's helped me through the hardest of hard times, is the realization and knowing of that what I've gotta go through can be compared with a little sting (?) in my finger compared to what Jesus experienced in the garden, and what He had to carry upon the cross for me and others...
as it also give a deeper understanding about what He had to suffer for me, it makes me love and adore Him more... He took everything on His shoulders... He is always able!
Wonderful video, sister. I think most of us experience this, and typically it's not something that we go about discussing with others. I've been through it, and still have spells of it at times. Your video comments are fantastic!
I'm very blessed that God allowed our paths to cross!
Many have been through this but never talk about it, some can't relate at all... but that doesn't make it less real, it just make it more important to get video's like this out- so people can find that they're not alone in experiencing it... Reading that God withdraw to test someones heart, made everything easier on me- then I knew that it wasn't me there were something "wrong" with... I was just so blessed that God tested me!
A dark army marching in the twilight. A sorcerer leading his horde. It's the night when cowardly faith will die. Minions of the Devil soon to be dancing. And urinating on the body of christ. Tears of rage falling from god's eyes. Which are drowned out by laughter from the night. Where demons are now celebrating. White souls to the slaughter in the dark land. Where Lucifer has left his trail. We rise in the shadows of his kingdom. This night of Satan will never come to an end.
This was truely a blesing to watch, When we are going through hard times sometime we wonder why, But it is all for a reason, Thank you Cecillie for making this.
I find my self to many times wonder how in stead of why... some times how much and for how long, but mostly how can I go through this in a way that honors You God and equips me to help others in a better way... Most things we never will understand before we are home, we just need to trust that God knows best!
we need to talk about this also, many will experience it at some given time in their lives, but unfortunately the topic get silenced down... in stead of being cared for and supported through times like this, many experience to get even more burdens put on their shoulders... as the silence of God isn't enough...
