I still can't find the definitive answer about what they "lyric" in the song is. An online search shows things like "with a bird in the hand he says why no dinner"....doesn't sound right to me. Anybody know?
@FresnoFred2007 They were called "Staccato" drums. It was a marketing gimmick that died very quickly. The idea was that buy bending the toms, it would project the note more. Real nonsense.
COOL SONG!--what's it called, where's it from and who's it by? It seems kinda' like Paul MCCartney has a big hand in this--its fits his personality somehow...
@4FabBEATLES your kidding right? Of course Paul had a hand in this, he put it together. Rockestra Theme was what lead to some of his later orchestra works.
@4FabBEATLES Supposedly he had this idea when he was with the Beatles; a kinda "supergroup" ; but they were in the middle of their breakup (down) and it never came to fruition. It's an awesome song!
One of the coolest videos i've seen. Bought the Back to the Egg LP in '79 and the first time i heard this piece of gem, I got goose bumps all over! Took almost 30 yrs for me to actualy see the video. Deym!!!!!

I will make a video like this with all my friends and gilmour, and my cat. Yeah, my cat will be the singer, and maybe a groundhog could play bass.
It will be nice.
