I was one of the technical crew helping out in this performance and no, Hilary was not lip-synching. Every control room has a soundboard, and her mike sound levels ranged from 6-8 depending at which point she sung so there wouldn't be feedback. The music that was playing was a single track on a CD that we tested beforehand and it only had music with little backing vocals (which weren't heres anyway). So, just to quell the argument, she wasn't lip-synching. Full-stop.
