I have one and I love it and I can't even tell it limits boost in the lower gears cuz this thing kicks like a mule. I had G35 before and while the MS3 doesn't have the prestige or the looks its way more fun to drive.

This is my next car. I drove the speed3 then an 05 G35 Coupe three days ago. The Speed3 felt better balanced and about the same midrange power. I'm sold.

6 is slower due to the weight of the AWD system.

but on a drag track. AWD helps the MS6 achieve better et's in the 13.5-13.8 range. but trap speed is quite a bit lowser than the MS3

I'd take the MS3. Its been a thorn in the Evo and STi's side since its creation. Not quite as fast, but the extra 10% of performance from the Evo or STi doesn't justify the extra 10 thousand dollars. Its very responsive to mods too. Intake, cat-back, and a flash from a Cobb Accessport and you'll have Evo's reaching for their boost controller.

Couldn't tell you. My RX8 has a pretty steep depreciation rate so maybe the Speed3 does too. The new Speed3 is going to be wicked though. They've stepped up the power to 280 bhp and THREE HUNDRED ft-lbs of torque! Came from adding a functional hood scoop and revised dual-outlet exhaust. Still for about $10K less than an Evo or STi. I would definitely look into the Speed3. Forged rods and crank from the factory. And again, 90% of the performance of an STi for $10K less.

You'll get more potential from the Speed3 I think. People always wonder why the STi is so much more expensive with not that much better performance over the WRX. The reason is potential. The STi comes with forged internals and the engine isn't even trying at 300 bhp. The WRX will hit a brick wall when it comes to upgrades WAY before the STi. The Speed3 is the middle ground. Almost the same potential as in STi for a WRX price tag. A cold air intake will realistically add 10 whp on the Speed3.

Actually new new Speed3 is not faster in anyway unfortunately. Its the same power plant as the older Speed 3's at 263hp and 280 lb tq. Also, it's 100 lbs heavier than the older Speed 3's. It's just redesigned.

Guys i love the car ive been test driving cars left and right the last couple weeks and narrowed it down between this and the gti. the ms3 is def faster no doubt about it but mazda is asking crazy money for a 25k car, i brought them down after 2 hours to 2k down at 480 a month, i would take the car for 420 a month max and even that is alot for 25k car,let me know what u guys think.

I like the sleeper look so it fits perfect in this car... that's why it's not all tricked out but if you ever see one in person and it's interior... it's mind blowing for it's price tag. I guess 197 is good enough for a car, but the civic's problem is it hits that at some crazy RPM range at 7000 rpms or something like that, same with the tq which is a mere 150 or something like that. I hit 280 lbtq at 3000 rpms, that is why I love the car, TQ when you need it. My car shouldn't feel like I'm driving a motorcycle reving to 11,000 rpms to feel the power.

Yes they were somewhat limited in the terms of being able to get one, their are only 5000 of them on the road right now.

If you want to see it on the track look at my vids. I have one and love it. It is very easy to get 300 whp with basic bolt ons this car is not for the faint of heart, nor nob drivers.
