I think you've proven conclusively that you are her number 1 fan ! :-)..and she seems to genuinly like you...did you see her in anything before 'gypsy' ? Mame ? dear World ?
@Dirkdebruyne This will age me, but the first time I saw her was in 1966 in Mame. She was absolutley great, then in 1973 in London in Gypsy, plus many more time in NYC and LA. Ernie
This is like one of the longest overtures in musical theater history. I member when I was in a community theater production of it, people would get up in the middle of it to use the bathroom and come back and we hadn't even gotten to Mr. Goldstone part in the overture.
This collage made me cry. The glitz and the glamour that has gone today. I would do anything to have been able to have seen Angela perform. Maybe there is still a chance in a showstopping play... lets hope :D :D. Love you Angela!!!! X X x x
I am so glad you liked the Angela video. I have been a fan of hers for as long as I can remember. I hope to go to NYC next year to see her in "A Little Night Music". Will you try and go see her? What state are yu from? She sent me an invitation to the Bea Arthur tribute, but I could not make it so I gave my invitation to my nephew. He is gonna call me tomorrow to let me know how it went. Ernie
Great stuff! I saw Blithe Spirit last week and was amazed at her energy. Her comedic timing is still incredible. I only met her once, during Sweeney Todd. I had written to her asking if I could meet her and got a lovely letter from Peter Shaw inviting me backstage. I have met many celebs and been quite cool, but I was a wreck when I met Angela...I was shaking! That was 30 years ago, I was in my early 20s, but I remember the experience vividly.
It's 2 seperate pctures. The Angela picture is from her movie "In The Cool of The Day" and my picture was taken while on a holiday when I was in the Army. Ernie
