  • Christmas in the 1970s when i was little girl was much simpler.

  • My mum has always decorated the tree in our house, and she won't let anybody else near it! The lights are always broken though, the baubles won't sit right, she can't decide on how many baubles or ribbons she wants and the lighting sequence has to be perfect, so she ends up having a melt down! I have to leave when she's decorating!

  • Well here in Leicester (the Midlands) we have a huge great Christmas tree up in front of the clock tower and guess what? Leicester is an extremely culturaly diverse city and has been for longer than I've been alive and none of the other religions or races bat an eyelid to the tree or the lights up everywhere.

Happy Christmas from Leicester, everyone! xx

  • I want Jesus and Mary and,what's his name,the dad guy..........LOL

  • I was sort of like a runner bean

dressed head to toe in green

    LOL

  • It did look worryingly like excessive political correctness, however.

  • I know it's just a comedy show but when Anne Widdecome started going on about 'Winterval' I wanted to scream, "it was a sodding marketing campaign, christmas is not under attack!!!". Sorry for taking it a bit too seriously.

  • @weirdloopyloo It's about blowing things way out or proportion calm down old chap
