  • I'm a warm sleeper. I can sleep in my underwear pretty comfortably in 40 degree Wiggy's bag down to about freezing. At 0 F I have to unzip my 0 F Wiggy's bag occasionally to cool off. This is, of course, with a ground pad & in a shelter.

  • Do you know what the total weight in pounds and ounces is with both bags including the stuff sacks?

What's the coldest temperature's you've slept in with both bags and still stayed warm?

I've tried the Superlight mummy, with no overbag, in a tent, with the thermometer reading 20 F. Unfortunatley, it has no draw cord for the chest like the Ultima Thule and I could feel cold air coming in. Don't know if the overbag would push it down on my chest better.

  • @proclaimliberty2000 The Ultima Thule is 5 lbs. and the overbag is 2. I don't know Oz. and I'm sure they would very depending on sizing. I've slept in 17 degree weather, so nothing very extreme.

  • I can only relate my experience with Wiggy's. They are well made and durable. My Super Light 0° bag failed me at 25°. The pad offered very little padding, but was well made and durable. Closing myself up in the bag cause me to have to labor for breath because I hate a cold nose/mouth and would not put it at the "blow hole" made by the draw string. Keeping the top open created cold drafts when I moved about.

  • Thanks for the very helpful review! I'm taking a hard look at getting one these bags. By the way... Think I found a typo on your site. You have the Super Light listed as +20°, isn't it the 0° bag?

  • @a4t5fan Yes, you are correct. The Super Light is a 0° bag. I fixed the site and thank you for the heads up.

  • haha 8 inches and 13 14 inches, riiiiiight

  • @antwone230 I just pulled my bags out and zipped them together. Loft measures 8 - 9 inches in the middle of the bag.

  • Dude, thank you for the review :) just made my mind up!

  • Nice video. I have two Wiggy's bags and wouldn't buy anything else.

  • I really appreciate the great video. I'm wanting to buy a Wiggy's Sleeping Bag for backpack hunting. Why do you wish you had gone with the Superlight instead? Also, is there a ground pad that you prefer over the Wiggy's? Thanks.

  • @proclaimliberty2000 The Ultima Thule is a little too warm for some of the camping that I do. The Super Light with the Over bag seems a little more flexible and there's a little more room in the Super Light. If sleep cold and will be in sub zero temps, then I'd go for the Ultima Thule over the Super Light.

Warmth aside, pads are personal preference. I use a cheap foam pad over my Wiggy's pad and it's great. RE warmth, the Wiggy's pads are VERY warm.

  • Thanks! this helped me get the right picture!

  • Excellent review. Thorough, well lit and great volume. Plus, I don't think I heard you say "uh" or "um" even once. You better believe I'm taking notes.
