  • Expand it enough to create a territorial battlefield and watch them doing PVP

  • That seems to be great as a playground for the cute gerbils. :-)) I also would like to have such a cage with options like those for gerbils.

  • how old were you when you extended your girbil cage

  • @allyneed 19, why?

  • ya........ i cant hear anything

  • Such a big cage. o: Is it hard to clean? :)

  • it's a cool idea, to attache two gerbilariums into a big one. It's very good... :) Respect ...

But you have to put sth on the stairs because the gerbils could hurt themselves.

  • how do you clean that big cage

  • If you can give your gerbils something like this...Mine died yesterday, but until the last day he was running around in the 4 of his cages, and that is a mansion :)

Take photos of them and everything, luckily I got to,because old ones go from one day to another :(

Great cage, just giving some tips ;)

  • awesome cage. mine would have escaped through that carton door :D they we're really good at escaping :D they even escaped through the cage - but only if i wasn't watching. they we're fun but they kinda hated me o__ö. they destroyed 2 of my speakers >__> and always bit me :c i hope they still had some fun living with me :D

  • THIS IS A OLD VIDEO OF MY CAGE. MY CAGE AT THE MOMENT IF 4 TIMES THE SIZE OF THIS, SO CHECK IT OUT ON MY CHANNEL!

  • I have one question: Why do you have a cage? you should have glas right??? that's what they told me>? sorry but nice gerbilarium you have there <3

  • @Maluro4ever I have it because i have never ever had problems with it. They don't chew it at all, and plus glass cages are too heavy and you can't do much with them. Glass cages are boring, and more expensive. And 3/4 of the cages i've seen, are too small. Im for plastic cages all the way, i would never get a glass one. EVER!

  • @ladyshifty90 Okay :) I like your gerbilarium anyways :) it's just what they told me :) but I do understand why you choose plastic :) x

  • I extened my gerbil aquarium with a tank topper.

  • you must have some happy gerbils

    xD

  • Nice cage but i would not recommend that bedding dont get the cedar kind get the friendly warm soft bedding NOTcedar because that leads to respratory problems and then they will pass on.

  • wow awesome your pets must be realli happy

  • Wow! That is amazing! I personally would get a cage and the plastic cage and using the tubes attach them

  • That looks fun to clean.

  • @ladyshifty90 how long does this take to clean?

  • Do gerbils bite?

  • @YeahStephanieSings Unless yur nasty to them, no.

  • How did you attach the iron cage on the cage from glass?

  • do u only have 1 gerbil

  • That must be the happiest gerbil ever! Very nice set up!

  • i have 2 little gerbils, their cage is alright nothing exciting, but they love chewing on everything! Thinking of getting them a extension to keep them busy :)

  • Lot's To Clean ehh :D i love that cage!! :D

  • Great extension!! I've been using perfecto small animal tanks for my three females, the glass ones with buit in glass shelves and i recently adopted two males that came with a gerbilarium thats not as roomy as the tanks so this has really helped give me ideas!! :D

  • Those little green houses are pretty good:) I got a load of them from tesco for about 30p a piece. Though all shortly ruined by the gerbils. Nice video, Thanks

  • @MrSqueek2010 Ha ha same!! My mum bought 2 from tesco years back, needless to say they got chewed :-p

  • Dont put clothing in there he can choke on it!!! please be carefull!!!

  • @irawr3m0pandasi Gerbils can choke on anything you put in there cage... Don't worry, i only had it in there that day, took it out that night as he didn't use it.

  • Awesome! You have alot of the elements they would have in the wild. Sorry to hear they passed away. one of my gerbils is almost 5! My girl friend who is a vet tech is breeding one of mine and hers so i will have 3 new baby boys soon.

  • @TheDeniedhopedrummer My cage was alot bigger than this one in the video. Look on my channel and there should be a video of it. Sweet, i would of loved my gerbil to live until 5 years! Anything you do different to his/hers lifestyle?

  • @ladyshifty90 Actually yes. I feed Aro and eggly a seed mix, But i take out all sunflower seeds and corn. Those to foods are extremely high in fat. I use Aspen shavings and provide a lot of cardboard for them to chew. They both get handled about an hour a day also. In general i think they just have good genes. Sadly they should be gone in another year. Thats their max life span. Gerbils are wonderful pets!

  • @TheDeniedhopedrummer I used to do that, take the sunflower seeds out my gerbils food, and give him peas and sweetcorn every night when he was out in my room for 30-60mins. He constantly had cardboard in his cage too. He lived until he was 3 years 2 months. Yours must have great genes!! :-)

  • he alone?

  • @SuperHardTrance He is, his brother passed away. But he did brilliantly by himself. If anything, he came out of his shell alot.

  • @ladyshifty90 wow really? thats weird... Ive lernt alot from you... because i am really keen on getting a couple... 2 males or 2 Females tho?

  • @SuperHardTrance Aww thanks. Females tend to be more energetic and lively, males seem more chilled out.

  • awesome cage!

  • Cool

  • dont the gerbils chew on the cable ties? mine chew anything you put infront off themm XD

  • @ps3player111

nope, he never used to chew anything exept for cardboard and wood :-)

  • what do you meen used to?

  • @ps3player111 He passed away a couple of months ago :-( so i just have my two ratties now.

  • @ladyshifty90

awwwww so sorry to hear that lady

he is in gerbie heaven now though :)

  • @ladyshifty90 im getting 2 gerbils in the future and ive got his cage picked out, i thought it was awesome and now i think they've got no life??

  • im making a second story out of wood for my gerbil cage and i made a wood bed for them to

  • hey i have a critter trail 2, and a 10 gallon tank, is there any way to add them together?

  • @meg8527 You could put the crittertrail 2 either at the side of the tank, or on the top, depending how many tubes you have to reach into the tank. Im gonna upload a video on how i made a vivarium looking cage, and the way ive connected his little carry cage on the top, you could do something like that. It depends how many tubes you have, and if you have a big enough hole at the top of your tank to fit a tube threw it.

  • want to build us a cage? haha no good job

  • I have that cage but I haven't changed it, but It is still a good size for my two gerbils. How long did it take you to build it?? xx =)

  • It took me sbout 2/3 hours to create the gerbilarium, and about an hour to create the larger tank. "

  • WOW I thought it would have taken more than a week to do something like that! =) xx What made you want to change the tank? xx

  • Lol, It was pretty simple. I just mucked up the tank sides (was getting impatient so the sides didnt meet up as i would of liked them to ) The top fitted perfectly though, which i didnt think would of. The reason i changed the tank was because i thought it was pretty small, and because i had another one spare, i wanted to attached them both together to make it twice as big. The bigger the space, the more things you can do with it, and plus theres never too much space for gerbils " )

  • Thats really cool. I dont have much space to extend mine though, but my gerbils seem happy enough in the cage they have, i know that if they didn't seem happy enough then I would change it, but its ok. x

  • I didn't have enough space either, so i moved all the cages to the kitchen table lol

  • cool

  • aww bless, what colour are they? and which sex? good luck with the lil ones lol

  • Great work. Loads of space for Kyle. He's so sweet. How old?

  • his 2 1/2 at the end of november :-)

  • its fine, im more than happy 2 help. yes u can use shredded paper, i use shredded paper from newspapers, and shredded paper from my mums work (its a accountacy so they shred stuff like invoices, letters etc..) they say dont because the ink, but ive used it hundreds of times and none of my gerbils hav got stained from it or got ill from it. Hays also fine aswell, i shake it beforehand to get the dust out, because i find it makes mine sneeze sometimes.

  • ha ha yeh i burnt it wiv a stanley blade and my cooker! yeh i thought it was too small aswell, and it says can fit up to 3 gerbils, and i thought its not even big enough for 1, let alone 3!

  • Sounds cool ! Anxious to see.

  • Great way to satisfy the room your pet needs. The cage looks good and I am sure your gerbil is pleased with his big home : )

    5*

  • Thank you " )

Ive uploaded another video of how my cage look now, its alot bigger lol
