  • Man, its been years since my father played this game... like, when I was only a infant. Im almost 15 right now... I REALLY GOTTA PLAY THIS GAME!

  • To play this on Vista, install as normal (i have UAC off), start the game, when the main menu comes on, minimise and go to the desktop, Ctrl+Alt+Delete and brnig up task manager, find the THIEF.exe process, right click on it and go to "affinity..." make the game only use -1- processor, so leave only 1 box ticked, say ok. and then enjoy, it will play without crashing the moment you get ingame!

ive been enjoying this game again thanks to this information, now you! go enjoy it too!

  • i am pretty confident i have explored every inch of the bonehoard, and i found the horn, but ic ant find the other thing im supposed to get, and i think in my zeal to kill all the zombies, i may have fucked myself over by using all my fire arrows

  • i for one love the zombies, and this level.

  • This is the greatest game ever!

  • for fucks sake. i havent played 1 or 2 yet, ive played Deadly Shadows tho and i couldnt get past the shalebridge cradle, shit the life out of me, and now ive just bought a box set of all thief games off of ebay... and as im watchin a few cutscenes all im seeing is fuckin haunted mines, haunted catacombs... cathedrals... and im gonna be playin these alone, with the lights off...

  • Man...... this brings back memories... this part seriously freaked me out... EACH time I played it.... and even though my brother was sitting next to me ... we still jumped as soon as we HEARD a zombie.... LOve it XD

  • This was the most chilling cutscene in the whole game. The way that eerie sound crescendos while it talks about "Builds him a House of They Rotting Skins" made it obvious that the Pagans were to be feared.

  • Some levels are creeping me out :S xD

  • google ttlg forums FAQ Thief its an easy fix ;)

  • dosent matter about the graphics its the game play which maters and its got awesome game play

  • any know how to fix the problem of theses cut scenes not playing in between missions

  • @duhastchris it's probably kinda late for the reply but whatever :P mine does that too. Try having the CD in the computer when you start your PC. For me it doesn't work any other way

  • If you haven't played Thief 1 and 2.....you've missed a great piece of history. Go play it!

  • The song that plays for the horn is so creepy. wish i could download it.

  • The bEst game in the history of games and everything else...

  • The horn sound from 0:55 sends chills down my spine, reminds me when i first played this level. Running about the catacombs and getting lost in the burrick tunnels, surrounded by zombies ghasts and wraiths and out of water arrows... Awesome game.

  • yeah i love all these thief games its the best game ever

  • It was exactly the same thing with me! (Speaking about Mechanist bots)

  • Their is nothing in a game i hate more than those blasted zombies...

I was pissed of in the Metal Age when I ran into some of the basteds...

An having some element in a game you love, that you despise makes the experience all the better... felt the same way bout those dam mechanist bots...

  • OMG! The mechanist bots were soo annoying!

Lol, I remember when I first tried to destroy the damn things, fire arrows and everything. Then, by accident one of my water arrows landed on the panel on its back. Ha! Result!

  • I read water poured into the back stopped them from a builder book on eaves dropping. I pretty much avoided the fuckers until I knew what I was dealing with.

  • I have spent hour playng that level when i played the game for the first time i was completely lost. I loved it beside the zombies, it was soooooo scary, at the same time very exciting. One of the best thing were the diary's of the tomb robers. I remember also that, after finding the horn i couldn't find. HOW TO GO BACK!?!

  • Hee hee xD!

  • @mjshikeli

its possible to climb back out the way you came in with rope arrows, or alternatively theres a 2nd way out by the horn. its hard to find it in the dark, if i ahdnt turned my gamma up i never would have found it tbh :P

  • @mjshikeli I KNOW! They should sell bread crumbs in the store

  • lmao "I was pissed was at cuddy for a good while"

  • Lol xD!

  • That level.. pisses me off! Lol I'm playing it on hard now and I gota find the mystic thing and the horn 1k loot and crap like that! Damn zombies, pig-dinosaur hybrid things that burp poison gas, and damn the maze! It's like Egypt in Europe!

  • Yeh it was sooo annoying. And the dinosaurs are called Burricks and I always get killed by them! >_<!

  • I know! XD

  • This level is incredible!!!

  • But scary all the same ^_^

  • My memories of this level consists mostly of trying to find out where the heck I was and where I was headed. Sure, the atmosphere's thick as cream, but I still regard this level as more cumbersome than enjoying. But hey, a matter of taste...

  • I liked this level, it made you think and use your head to find your way around, and to figure out how to get the Heart Gem.

  • From what I have noticed, nobody seemed to like the bonehoard level, but i thougt it had a nice "indiana jones"-feeling to it!

  • My thoughts about the level exactly. Except I heard people liked it.

  • I liked It! All I did to kill time was lure the zombies toward the army of burricks and cause QUITE a massacre.
