@99Sorc please learn basic biology. When muscles perform work, they tear. animals have evolved such that when they repair these tears, the muscles grow back larger so that muscles that are used more often, grow larger.
A simple refutation of your claim is to take the example of patients who are in a coma and who have their muscles exercised to keep them from atrophying. Are these patients "believing" that their muscles are growing? No.

I found a few studies demonstrating a placebo effect when taking supplements. But that's it, nothing supernatural.

But a photon does have enough energy to effect the motion of an electron. I'd like to suggest a couple of books that might clarify or arouse some curiosity: Theory of Eternal Life by Rodney Collin, (think of it as being about not only quantum physics i.e., the 'worlds' or cells, molecules, electrons but (in my opinion) the point where they unite into an other 'sense' that even the ancients recognized. A book that can be read on google. books: The Psychology of the Unconscious by C. G. Jung, at least read the introduction by Beatrice Hinkle. Information is us.

I doesn't make sense to believe that expectations create what a person sees, because that implies some connection between the indidual and the material world. Information is sent,, received by some other and a result is produced for that individual. Does that make sense, that each individuals expectations can be 'related to' that way? Just to clear things up... In order to observe an electron, we must shine a tiny bit of light at it. In our macro world shining light on something does not effect it. But a photon does have enough energy to effect the motion of an electron. So it is not our consciousness that affects the motion of the electron, it is the interaction between the electron and the photon that changes the motion of the electron.

Some one joked that 'time' is what prevents everything from happening at once; it creates a false sense of linearity. What we know of the universe is that it appears to be expanding and that expansion appears to have started with some kind of event. This however is nowhere near enough evidence for a God explanation. A way to measure what we are observing not realising that what we are observing is not what's really out there but how we're observing what we believe is out there. Physicists use integers and equations to determine that there's something out there. Observation is not a belief. It's an interpretation. What I mean is that senses like sound, vision, feel, and smell are electrical signals interpreted by our brains. For example, when we hear something it is caused by vibrations of the molecules in the air. These vibration travel through the ear drum and through the bones that vibrate themselves and consequently triggering the electrical-chemical reactions which our brain interprets as sound.

@daniela1771 it's not synchronistic. those electrical signals are their weather your brain can interpret them or not. the mind is the brain. if i put a human brain in a glass bucks and connect cable to it from a computer and create a virtual environment were ("it"-the person) has a body and can touch and do everything you can do in the real world than that is a person. that's what the movie "the matrix" is about. it's a question about metaphysics not all this metaphorical mambo jumbo.
