in wolverine origins dark reign 36 daken is taken through the same adamentium bonding proces wolverine went through only difirent part is daken claws below his arms get the muramasa blade on them with a protected casing to not permanently wond himself when he exstraxts them,and i never seen him do it with a man i think the norman osborn goon was a blond haired woman although youre statment could have been in a comic i didnt see,but him beeing bi would cause som fun heat in the readers crowd

See, the thing about the Ultimate line of Marvel comics, specifically Ultimate X-men, was that the title changed writers every several story arcs, and each writer wanted to put his own spin on the title reflecting our "Modern Times" or just to do something different with old storys or characters. Like, Kitty dating Peter Parker or Cable actually being Wolverine from the future.

Daken's mother was shot and killed by the Winter Soldier (a brainwashed Bucky). He was cut from her womb by Romulus and raised to be a psychotic killer. Wolverine thought that both his wife and child had been killed. Romulus had Daken convinced that Wolverine abandoned him and his mother and he wanted revenge. Daken eventually learned the truth, but he and Wolverine still have a strained relationship. Recently he's joined Norman Osborn's Dark Avengers.
