  • danggggg.....that was awesome!

  • hey, you in the front, PUT YOUR HAND DOWN

  • what song is this?

  • people don't realize how much style and maturity it takes to do a dance like this. she clearly is trained based on her pointed feet, turnout, and just the simple double pirouette. cool you jets, guys/ shes amazing! :) <3

  • who the fuck keeps waving their hand in the video

fucking stop and let her work her magic

  • that literally made me tear up...that was outstanding!

  • She doesn't let the music control her; she controls the music. Love it!

  • she's connected to the music!! awesome!

  • completely amazing.

  • WOW!!! :| That was amazing. I am speechless!

  • O.o.... wow....

  • @LittleRubix 'It's Gonna Be A Long Walk' by Apparat(:

  • @jiraya350 , ok iUnderstand that and I`m not saying this was terrible at all . iLoved this and iGuess for her this style just works . I`m not saying she HAS to do turns and kicks and jumps and all that stuff but I`m just throwing it out there for anyone that would like to choreograph a piece like that .

  • that just blew my mind ! amazing .

  • ashley gonzalez was way better in my opinio n

  • That was CRAZYYY!!!

  • she is amazing and i'm obsessed with tokyo's choreography. It inspires me, and i wish i could take classes with him. I would learn and grow so much. I'm always speechless after his dances. I seriously watch them everyday.

but what is this song?! i wanna listen to it i just don't know what it's clalled or who it is by.

  • AMAZING!!!!!

  • that was amazing!

  • amazing! now i have 3 video's of her as favorite : )

  • i totally agree with redcs13ab . im in love with this dance , but i do think someone should make a new style with like contemporary and maybe a little jazz or just leaps and turns , but not to many . i hate when people over do it . dont get me wrong , i loved this piece . just need to put more effort into the choreography , because i know this girl could do so many different fouettes and leaps . but on the other hand , this was truly amazing , and im not looking to start a fight with anybody .

  • @royalenovaari9 We all know she can do amazing fouettes and leaps, but tricks alone a dance does not make.

It's refreshing to see a choreographer who doesn't spam all his routines with them, and trust me it takes a hell of a lot more effort to choreograph a piece like this than just pirouettes and jetes.

  • @royalenovaari9 ....

I have no comment.. just to repost a quote from what you wrote: "just need to put more effort into the choreography"

    you REALLY think that? wow..

  • mmm

    intrestering not

  • Omg is she flatfoot?? Still great! :)

  • um, only one thing to say

    AHHH-MAAAAAAAAAAAAAAZING!

  • It's like she's literally connected to the music.

  • Wutz the name of the song

  • This reminds me of how BEAUTIFUL pure movement of the body can be....no special turns necessary....

  • jfdklsajfkldsajfkldsajfklds sooo goood

what is the name of thiss sonnngggg

  • This was an amazing piece, and she killed it :)

I see the resemblance in this piece and the piece Chaz did, both choreographed by you and both beautiful.

I would love to take a class from you once :D

  • I really really enjoyed watching that dance. As I don't know anything about dance techniques and styles, could anybody tell me what style that is? So that I can search sweet youtube for more of that :D

  • i swear the best part is when the hand comes up at 2:20... mainly cause that's my reaction too haha

  • wow. i usually don't cry when i watch dances, but i was freaking bawling when i watched this. something about just screams at me. leaps and turns aren't gonna do that to you. this dance is so real. amazing choreography, amazing dancer. she could probably whip out plenty of choreographed kicks, turns and leaps if she wanted to. but i see no need to. it's stunning just how it is:) i love this. i wish something as amazing as this could be choreographed on me. thank you lauren and tokyo. so much.

  • @redcs13ab so you think dancing is just leaps and turns? you are completely wrong. dancing is the way your body moves to a certain beat in fact the dictionary definition is to move one's feet or body, or both, rhythmically in a pattern of steps, esp. to the accompaniment of music-not anywhere does it say that you have to leap or turn in order 4 it to be dance so when u said-this is a dance competition, and idont mean a million turns bt show that u can dance- it implies u dont thnk this is dance

  • The song is called "It's gonna be a long walk" by Apparat for everyone who was wondering :)

  • what is the name of this son??

  • @14Deegan I DIDN'T ask for tricks & turns. i asked for a DISPLAY of more technical training. plain & simple. i think too many dancers are jumping on the "i'm a dancer" train, and the actually have very little training. i was commenting on THIS ONE dance. i never said she isn't good, only that i would have liked to see more in the routine. wow.....am i the only adult here?

  • @redcs13ab I think her use of plie, parallel position, turn out, turn in (proper use of which requires just as much skill as turn out), extension, core strength, and completion of movement prove to us the level of her technique -- and that's just ballet! There is more to dance technique than barre exercises and "proper" positioning. Watch the dance again and see her level of martial arts, hip hop, jazz, and modern technique -- all of which are demonstrated wonderfully!

  • @redcs13ab what do you define dancing as? its an art form,so people can express themselves however they want.Anyone that dances from thier heart is a dancer, no matter how much training they have.Yes,ballet technique is beautiful, but there are other kinds of technique!haha. You can tell she works hard...don't take that away from her.Its obvious she loves dancing, just like me and you.:D

  • i can't critique well but i'd say Ashley gonzales by far interprets the true meaning of this song and Ashley's version is more interesting by far,

not hating on this routine just being truthful

  • Someone pleeeease tell me what this music is!!!!! :-) I neeeeeeed it!!!!!

  • what song is this? amazing dance by the way <3

  • what is this song called?

  • omg that was SO GOOOD!!!!

  • there is more to dance then just doing double pirouettes. and leaps.! its about having the passion, drive, musicality, presence and believing.! dance aint about showing the technique and bein able to do pirouettes...so good job girl cause yur AMAZING.!!!!

  • Beautiful lines! Very talented dancer.

Just wish there were a few more leaps and turns.

    But great overall piece!

  • I'm so so happy. I'm not very good at turns, and my dance teacher goes nuts over them. And it makes me sad that I have to try so hard, but I know I will get them. I ought to show her this dance, to prove to her that this is the best dance ever, and you don't see very many turns or leg lifts (Those I am really good at). :) Thank you for inspiring me to do modern forever.

  • THAT WAS PHENOMENAL! AMAZING INTERPRETATION OF THE SONG!

  • that was pretty dope

  • who ur all time favorite dancer u teach! cuz i really like her and denah and molly!

  • Hell yeeehhh.

  • absolutely amazing! the choreography and the dancing is just so unique and beautiful, i cant take my eyes off of the screen. its just breathtaking. and its for dances like this that i still dance today and strive to be that good. btw how old is she here?!

  • wow. SO good. i cant stop re-watching this

p.s: whoever says this isn't dancing.... they're crazy

  • i love you :)

  • Just wondering , was that an actual rose you had to bite everytime you did the dance on stage? and in the past when I had feathers on a costume that fell off they made me go back on stage and pick them up...did they make you pick up the petals? haha just curious. but i LOVE this dance and the whole concept and song!!!!! p.s what is this song?

Hope to hear a reply thank you!

  • oh wow . . how the HECK do you control your muscles that way?? it's ridiculously amazing

  • whats the name of the song?... i need it lol

  • @UgottaLoveMeh The Song is called "it's gonna be a long walk" by Apparet :)

  • 1:22 is intense.

  • i can't stop watching.

    tokyo, you've out done yourself.

this was soooooooooo incredibley beautiful and i just can't believe someone make these movements happen with their body.

she is such a beautiful dancer!

  • 1:00 gives me chills

  • um ok.... this is not dance. i dont know what this is.......

  • damn. that was soo amazingggg

  • what is this song called?!?! its killing me haha

  • @iwouldntask "it's gonna be a long walk" by Apparet :)

  • what is the name of this song!?!

  • also this girls feet are beautiful

  • @prodancer123 I wish i could move like that lol. you're really good!

  • OMGGGG. Dancegasm.

  • whats the name of the song?

  • what is the real name of this song? its fabulous

  • eh i don't like it...

  • @cheerstar1990 well are you a cheerleader?

  • i think this dance DOES display a lot of training, as opposed to what others are saying. it may not be showing her leaps, or massive amounts of turns, but she shows a lot of strength, and the way her spine moves in this is incredible. i think leaps and turns wouldn't have fit in right with the dance.

  • Amazing DANCER! Dance is about being able to move. Not doing a million tricks. those are just extra. so many people these days think that dancing IS constant leaps and turns and tricks. Its not. Its being able to do choreography and be graceful. Wonderful choreography and beautiful dancer! I loved this dance:)

  • @redcs13ab Do me a favor and post a video of you doing this piece :))) THANKS!!! Can't wait to see!!! Yaayyy

  • @ProDancer123

agreed... i dont think she would have won if this wasnt truly amazing and technical. i mean look at her feet and just everything. shes flawless.

  • @ProDancer123 aha! i can't wait to see it either.. ;D

    this choreography is beyond brilliant..

  • @ProDancer123 dont be obnocious cause he is totally right it doesn't seem like a dance dance more like just a theatrical one!! so calm down

  • @ProDancer123 how silly. what does ME dancing have to do with anything? ewwww.....grow up. and while you're at it, why don't you ask mia michaels to do it too.....lol. irrelivent.

  • @redcs13ab lol... irrelevant*

    sorry. i hate spelling errors.

  • @redcs13ab IDIOT. Do you not know that ProDancer123 is Tokyo? Honestly? He's pretty high up there almost right alongside Mia Michaels and some of the other modern choreography geniuses. I agree with everyone else with sanity. This piece is incredible. Tokyo's choreography is RIDICULOUS and I would MUCH rather see this at a competition than the regular rhinestone push up bra and booty shorts with twenty developpe crotch shot tilts to the audience ANY DAY. It's refreshing and beautiful.

  • @ProDancer123 ha ha she is rude!

  • @ProDancer123 idiot. what does ME dancing have to do with ANYTHING? ewwww

  • @redcs13ab LMFAO YOU COULD NEVER DO THIS WHAT ARE YOU SAYING

  • @redcs13ab excuse me?! thats what competition dances lack, performance. this is very hard to do,every beat, every second, performing it in general is probably tiring. no need to show off what she can do,she's proven herself to the world already, she's paid her dues. even without all the turns, leaps, and toe rises she is still amazing. you need a reality check kid

  • @redcs13ab you're obviously just jealous of this dancers movement and TOKYO's choreography! HAHAHAHAHAH any trained dancer can leap and turn. im glad this didnt have leaps or a crap ton of turns because then i would be bored watching it. i believe that she is the only person who can do this dance at this level. if you want to see her turn and leap you can watch her jazz dance called "oh shiela". turns and leaps belong in a JAZZ dance, not this beautiful peice of art.

  • @ilervyer13 LMAO. i am not jealous. i am a 50 year old woman. grow up!! and i don't think ANY trained dancer can leap & turn properly & beautifully. if this dancer SHOWED us that, this routine would be over the top. i want giving an opinion on this AS A WHOLE...it's a competition #, not something for a show in los angeles, ok? chill out people!! wow....

  • @redcs13ab I highly doubt an un "trained" dancer could do any of what Lauren does in this dance. Wow. This girl is going places.

And tokyo- You're insane. What you create is GORGEOUS.

  • @redcs13ab any dancer could do this? a bit of an understatement. it was amazingg how it was.

  • @redcs13ab hahahahaha you're kidding me, right?

  • @redcs13ab what you call "dancing" is more gymnastics. All these competition rules where you have to have 10 pirouettes and 5 turns or you don't get a good score is bull crap. Let dancers dance and move not do tricks and turns. ( which can be nice i the right situation.

  • @cooperneely this redscabs person is completely wrong, but just for the record, most judges actually really prefer dances without many tricks in them, but someone in the past went wrong and decided that all judges like tricks so now thats all they have to work with.

  • @redcs13ab i agree it doesnt seem like a dance dance it seems more theatrical, there are no jumps or anything

  • @peacegirllover this dance isnt about tricks. its showing the beauty of dancing without tricks. jesus, one person doesnt do tricks in a dance and everybody gets all butt hurt about it. cool your jets, man.

  • @redcs13ab but the thing is, just by watching her control and lines, you can tell she could whip out a turning section for 10 8-counts or a penche or some crazy ass leaps, had she wanted to. yes, if she had sprinkled in some "tricks" it would have been amazing. but it's even more amazing that she DOESN'T and you still know she could do the best damn tricks you've ever seen.

  • @Danceaholic2478 ahh, but i, nor do the judges, KNOW SHE CAN. i know plenty of dancers that can look amazing at certain things, but have horrible extensions and/or turns. you really need to calm down. i never said she should do a million tricks, just incorporate some more (besides a foot point) technical ballet training, which is (also) extremely difficult, and the basis for all dance.

  • @redcs13ab i need to calm down? you're the one with your panties in a twist because she didn't do a pirouette. i'm just saying that she has incredible isolation, lines, and control, which are all required for technical things.

by the way, this girl has a ton of solos on youtube- i suggest you watch them.

  • @redcs13ab Hahaha thats a really, oh wait, I mean REALLLLLYYYYY funny joke. :P

  • @redcs13ab .... are you actually kidding?! you say: "i feel like any dancer could have danced this".. then you clearly have NO idea..

in MY opinion.. i feel like NEXT TO NO dancers in the general community could perform anything like this.. Only those amazing few that truly understand how to control their body.. And this gorgeous young girl Lauren Garrett is among the finest I have ever seen..

Honestly.. shut your face.. you have no idea

  • @redcs13ab So you think dancing is just leaps and turns and tricks? your completely wrong in fact i would say dancing is exactly what lauren did there and the leaps and turns and tricks are jst extra stuff that not all dances need. when i see a dance full of tricks i think that was good but i wish it had more actual dancing in it

  • @redcs13ab Not all dancing had to be about showing off. It's about expressing yourself and moving in a way that is unique and new. This girl did an amazing job of both of those, and it's clear she is an extremely talented dancer. She wouldn't be able to do a lot of what she does without impeccable technique and training; she doesn't need to shout from the rooftops that she can do a million fouettes and split leaps. She moves in a way I've never seen before, and it's amazing.

  • SICKKKKKKKKKK
