I'll be graduating barber school in a couple of months. And when I do graduate I hope to eventually have a shop just like this with the same philosophy. Great job guys.
I have a vintage barbershop in SC and it seems people do not know what I actually do in there. "barber" to them is confusing, "salon" on the other hand is where they would rather go. It is a shame dads do not take their kids to a BARBER and let them experience it, instead Mom takes them to SALONS! It really sucks. Hopefully, one day they will wake up. Why people would rather support their chain salons instead of a local barber is beyond me!!

It's a semi-decent place. My flattop wasn't quite as sharp as I would have liked and they scratched my neck when they shaved me, but I'd give them the benefit of the doubt and try them again. If they blow it the secondtime, then...
This segment on an "old school" barbershop really captures the "old school" spirit that makes Chicago such a great city. Sometimes classic things are just better than the latest "brand new" thing, and it's nice to have a place that recognizes and celebrates that sentiment.
