Right now I see no other way on combating Islamic terrorism other than war. You hippies need to understand that there are events in this world that far transcends any social-political resolution. You can't argue with jihadists, they are high on religion and have no rational grievances that we could understand. To quote Michael Caine, “Some men aren’t looking for anything logical. They can’t be bought, reasoned, or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn.”

@44warjunkie That quote is completely out of place. The motivation for most of the jihadist movemement (particularly hamas in palestine) are pretty plainly the product of repression. Increasing that repression just doesn't seem the logical way to end the conflict.
Although radical islam is insane, doctrinal and immoral even according to the koran, where would those mullas be if they didn't have America (and the EU) causing havoc and bloodshed where they live to issue fatwas against?

The sad fact is that Norm Chomski is hated by both the LEFT (Neo-liberals) and RIGHT (Neo-conservatives) in American politics...reguardless of his contribution to 21st century social political thought. In any case it dosent matter, what matters is that he was able to articulate the very nature of power mechanisms and structures within western ideological governmental and corporational ruling systems..as well as the fundamental rules that such powers adear to..ULTIMATELY showing the injustice.

Applies only in AMERICA...Neo-liberalism refers to a political movement in which members of the AMERICAN LEFT(such as Michael Kinsley, Robert Kaus, Mickey Kaus, and Randall Rothenberg) endorsed some off the free market positions, such as free market economics and welfare reform. THIS SHOULD NOT be confused with NEW LIBERALISM, which used to be called SOCIAL LIBERALISM..ideas and parties that tend to follow this political thought are considered centrist or centre-LEFT in the United States. The problem is they tell lies to the population to justify war. Worse they tells lies about weapons of mass destruction and demonize state sponsors of terrorism when we gave them material for chemical and biological weapons, and we proactivly train dictators to implant into nations we overthrow. We want to spread democracy..BS. Need to stop the propaganda and tell us we need to attack Saddam to switch Iraqis oil trade from the Euro back to the dollar. The truth would not fly with Joe Blow.
