  • I think what you do is absolutely BRILLIANT, but in the headline you should put SIMULATION

  • crappy nosegear landing.

  • Now days with jets you can do that in about 4 hours.

  • That's true but it's not as much fun :0

  • Proud to say, been there, done that, I flew from Calif to Hawaii on the boeing 377 ( USAF C-97 ) in 1956 and yes, it was about a 12 hour flight , Chuck N9497S )

  • Cool The simulator is pretty accurate then,

It must have been a noisy 12hrs :)

  • Slept thru the whole flight , haha Used to take us 8 days to do a Tokoyo turn-around flying the C-97s but it's a great plane .

  • OMG!!! THERE ARE NO PILOTS!!!!!! :)

  • Better off without, they would probably be asleep anyway

  • Actually, the B377 was notorious for leaving its nosewheel last and landing nosewheel first. So in fact, your landing wasn't quite as bad as it might appear, even if a bit too hard on the nosewheel. With that being said, I definitely can't do any better :)

  • Thanks for making the effort to put this online. What scenery are you using for 50s Hawaii?

  • You´re not alone landing with the frontwheel first followed by a jump....

  • Thanks for the comments

This was one of my first landings in a plane of this size and weight.

Please check out the Jet Whew ! and Antonov225 videos for later more competent landings leave comments if you wish.

  • There is a new version for Microsoft FSX at a2asimulations.

    It's a lot more complex.

  • Got it Thanks

  • which flight sim was this on?

  • you need to do some work on your landings, that's always the bit that stays in your mind, no matter how good the bit in the middle was.

  • Agreed, I would amagine if this were more realistic the front wheels would of broke off. Just practice more and flare when you land but not to much!

  • james, it's not him. He performed a great landing. The B377 Stratocruiser lands like this.

  • Thanks Dude

  • how long was the flight?

  • I don't remember the exact time in flight but it was something like 12 hours

I started on the weekend and kept saving and reloading the flight until landing..

    Cheers
