Sorry - The Bible says they went by the way of the plain of the red sea - there is no way through the mountains. The Bible says when they turned ( north ) and camped , then they crossed. This is the shallow pathway to arabia

But, whereas most great people simply fade into history books, Jesus of Nazareth is still the focus of numerous books and media controversy.Within three years, Jesus changed the world for the next 20 centuries. Other moral and religious leaders have left an impact---but nothing like that unknown carpenter from Nazareth.

The problem is none of the people who "saw and heard him" wrote any of the Gospels. The oldest parts of the Bible were written at least 70-80 years after Jesus' death. EVERYTHING we know and read is second-hand at best on top of all the "editing" on the part of the Council of Nicea.

council of nicea had nothing to do with the bible dud where are you getting this by the way the gosels were wrriten 2 years after the EVENTS in contrast the oldest transcripts of the history and life of alexander the great were written 1000 years after he died thats right ONE THOUSAND as a matter of fact look at every historic event 1,000 or more years old in comparison the bible was written the most recent after the events!

There overwhelming consensus is that the gospels were written AT BEST, 60 years after the events the discuss and in some cases hundreds of years. Every scholar and scientist who has test and/or dated the works agrees except for a handful of, obviously biased, fundamentalists with their own agenda. And how do you dispute the Council of Nicea? Kind of like saying the Gettysburg Address had nothing to do with the Civil War?!?!?

The problem with historical evidence is that you still need to believe it. Some don't even believe some of the historical evidence of the 2nd World War. Where is the formal historical evidence of the fire brigade people who died after Tchernobyl? Having lived in a country where historical evidence 'is taken care of' it comes to no surprise of me that in the old days the same thing would have happened. Thank you for having an open mind though.

Where is the archaeological or historical evidence
for the slaughter of the firstborn of Egypt?
Or for the much more recent slaughter of baby boys
in Judea, under Herod?
Isn't it odd that Josephus and his peers
could tell us what kind of cup Herod drank from,
but didn't notice the slaughter of a few thousand babies?
The Bible is a book of bronze-age myth.

Secondly, why would Josephus write of Herod's order to slaughter babies. That would be like me writing about how the US has sponsored brutal dictators in Panama, Venezuela, etc. to promote our wealth...maybe, that analogy falls short...because in this country free speech is tolerated....I doubt Josephs would have had that luxury, especially being a former Jewish leader...

Josephus sold out the Jews and became a Roman when it all came down....hence the new Roman name Josephus
Then, after he decided to write his books...he probably left out that whole the whole genocide of the the first born from the Exodus, probably because it was 1,000 years before his existence...ancient history...
writing about that would be like me writing about the Revolution of the US....we all know the story...right?

You fear god's wrath not god. To doubt the lord almighty is to doubt ones owns existence. Notice how the sun & moon are the same size in the sky. Now factor in how the earth perfectly fits over the moon. Study the solar system & be amazed of size & distance variations between them. GOD IS THE CREATOR !
