We need to stop building so many Casinos. We are wasting resources on something that is wasteful. All those classy furnitures, beds, lamps and carpeting could have gone to building homes for poor families in third world countries.
45 casinos with 1000 rooms in Las Vegas = 45,000 apartments. That is a home for 45,000 families in poor countries living in poverty. That is a warm place to sleep, clean water and a toilet.
Corporate America needs to stop building Casinos and start investing in homes, markets, and hospitals for the people. America should buy home grown and imports to help poor countries.
The "maybe next time" may never come for the ones that gamble on slot machines due to the recent "Server Based Gaming" system. When a casino has this system you are no longer playing against an RNG in a machine, but (unknowingly) playing against a remote operator (person) at a main computer in a hidden room within the casino.
@june201955 You know nothing about server-based gaming or about the litany of regulations sternly enforced by the Gaming Control Board of every state with legalized casino gaming. Your comment is pure stupidity.
Thanks to Andy Rooney from the Casino industry! He just reached a whole segment of the population that isn't intrigued by billboards of pool parties and direct mailings of room and food offers. But if Andy gambles and thinks he might win next time... where's the nearest slot machine?
@Vegasbrad888 Yeah, right.... If this new system is so sternly regulated by the State gaming board in any way that's fair, then why haven't any of my e-mails been answered by them concerning this? I take it that you trust gov't? If it means more money for the casino coffers and more money for the States, then who's comment is "pure stupidity"?
@june201955 Yours. The server controls only the games available on each machine or group of machines, not how they play. Game play is still determined by RNG as always. Otherwise it would be illegal and it never would have been able to get GCB approval.
Now what's more likely, you don't know squat, or casinos will fill "hidden rooms" with people - one for every player on the floor - to fleece the public so fast that they'd never want to return? I guess the GCB doesn't answer stupid questions.
@Vegasbrad888 I'm not going to argue with someone (checked out your most recent homepage) that has all of the traits of being a shill for the casino industry that's afraid of this truth being leaked. Have a nice day! : )
@june201955 LOL - whatever. I work in the industry and have plenty of inside information. That doesn't make me a shill, it makes me informed. My intent was not to argue, it was to point out to people who see your original comment that it was simply uniformed speculation made by a paranoid individual with little to no real understanding of how the gaming industry or the bodies that regulate it work. Thanks for helping to make my point. If ignorance is bliss, you'll definitely have many nice days.
Love you Andy - RIP

@heartlessvietboy Corporate America needs to invest where their goods and services have a demand and they can get paid for their effort.

I didn't know goods and services have a demand.
