Once you have around 40 litres of water it can be reduced boiled down) and you are left with a sticky syrup which is sweeter than hones, really nice I have 5 jars mad last month :)) you can by it at around £15 per jar but its not as nice as home made
@skootize By itself it's just like vitamin water. All the nutrients the tree needs to start a new year. But you can take it and ferment it into wine like you would grape juice...same concept, you'll get drunk.
Very interesting seeing this age-old skill being performed. The bark and leaves of the willow tree contains Salicylic acid which provided the basis for modern medicines beginning with Asprin.
Great video and awesome accent.. :)

Thanks for this info :)
It made me think:
Knives in nature = useful tools, stay alive
Knives out of nature = stabby, stabby, ambulance, fear and death
Are knives the problem or is lack of nature the problem?
Now I invite you to watch a video juxtaposing 9/11 trauma with Jeremy Beadle's TV pranks....

How long is the tree going to produce? It's been about 2 months, is it OK to try now?
briddle2 10 months ago
@briddle2 No not now, It produces for 2 weeks. roughly the first 2 weeks in march
61shirley 10 months ago
Apparently you shouldnt take more than 3 litres from one tree or it can be harmful. I'm sure I heard that somewhere, maybe something to look into

I've got silver birch trees in my garden. Amanita Muscaria mushrooms grow near them in the autumn; great for a bonfire night trip. :)
