Cool, I'll try to get a video for you of our station. Except ours is career and live-in, and it's in downtown. That bay is sorta like ours, we have an Engine, Ladder, Rescue Squad, Hazmat, and our batallion chief is stationed here.
it's called an auto eject and from what i read, it connects to the starter circuit so that the solenoid is only energized when the truck is cranked otherwise it would overheat and burn out.
those rigs are crap.
