  • interesting and a little shovanistic (no i cant spell the word)

  • interesting

  • The intro of this program is literally like enduring a milder form of hell. I can't imagine how anybody over the age of 7 can tolerate their tacky mannerism long enough to hear the message.

Incidentally the bible compares marriage to the relationship between Christ and the church NOT Moses and the prophets. Very few people were ever prophets and the world has never had fewer than it does now. The notion that wives = prophets? Scripture would not have left such a thing obscure if it were true.

  • As a husband and wife we have an opportunity to come together in prayer before our heavenly Father and lift the needs of our family up. The Bible says when two or more are gatherered I will hear their prayer. Two is stronger than one. It's like a blessing we have been given as a husband and wife. If the husband is a true follower in Christ and realizes the power of prayer why should this be an issue? A man can't lead or discern what the wife is saying if he doesn't take the time to know Him.

  • I think one concept wasn't addressed. That is that God desires a close relastionship with all of us. It's impossible to know Him if we don't spend time with him in His word and prayer. Maybe the Bible doesn't address this other than don't unevenly yolk yourselves, because it's just a natural reponse if you are walking with the Lord. Also, how do you know that the wife speaking those things ( prayer &reading into her husbands life aren't visions that God is trying to speak into her husbands life?

  • Miriam means 'prophetess' or 'lady'; the name recognises Miriam's position as the sister of the tribal leader . Unfortunaly the history of patriarchy forgot the importance of women in spirituality and many "spiritual leaders" were not able to see this and transmit it to others.

  • I am a pagan and it is clear for me. He just said the total truth. The female is the prophet, the male is the King. We females are more sensitive to spirituality to listen to the messages from god, but also from the antichrsit. Women forgot many of their power, in the contemporary history of feminism. Of course feminism was good against patriarchy and oppression but the extreme was bad. Nice that many spiritual leaders are recognizing the power of women, that patriarchy ignored.

  • how about we discuss creationism vs evolution....

  • this is such crap!

  • The Bible is full of references to men being the spiritual leaders. When I read about Noah, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Moses, David, etc I don't see Sarah or Rachael building any altars. I think we know what God's model is for the home regarding spiritual leadership. The marriage parallel between Christ and the church is not mentioned. Women who are in this situation should be a godly example and keep praying, hope to win your husband over by the way you live.

  • God bless Mark Gungor!!!

  • there is a problem when stupidity mixes with some fsint smount of truth

  • Hey, I am not normal, I have read probably over a hundred books in my life, maybe even two hundred or more.

  • I like listening to marks videos. However, I had to disagree with this teaching. I went through my bible and reference scripture in the old as well as the New Testament regarding spiritual leadership for men (husbands). Mark stated that God spoke to Aaron and Moses did not do anything. God simply used Aaron because Moses was afraid.

  • Good stuff. Awesome!!!

  • Why don't you open the show with prayer?

  • awesome Truth! Finally!!!!

  • Although Mark has a few valid points here, I'm not a fan of this episode. Question Mark. What is a Christian? If by definition it is a "follower of Christ" then this husband is not a Christian. He may believe that Jesus is the Son of God... but that doesn't make him a Christian. Satan believes this as well, and trembles... but that doesn't make him a Christian. This husband obviously does not have a good relationship with God... He can hardly be compared to Moses.

  • I enjoyed seeing this again. It is my husband's absolute favorite episode! His comment was "Whew - you needed to hear this one!" We love watching-thank you. Fellow frozen chosen family.

  • Comment removed

  • Is that the whole seaseon?

    When are more to come?

  • @thomas4christ We will be releasing more in 2011! Stay tuned!

  • I think that the Bible replaced the prophets. The last time a king listened to his wife(ves) (Solomon) look where that got him! The kings back then didn't have the Bible as a guide, thus they needed a prophet. We no longer have prophets, thus we have the Bible. So, I think that the husband should be buried in the Bible, because that's where he'll get his insights from. What are your thoughts on that?

  • I enjoyed hearing a broader thoughts process about the roles of married folks. It is good to hear a non-traditional approach to this journey.

  • Isn't this letting the man off the hook. The woman should be the strong example and continue without a word in hopes that someday he will hear the message. What happens to the male child of the family when they follow in dad's lazy footsteps and tells mom that they are no longer going to church, praying, etc., because dad doesn't. "Do as I say not as I do" never works. Mark is too easy on the male. Society has enough weak, do as I want males. Pussy footing the male only enables futher excuse.

  • No this is not letting the man off the hook. Putting expectations on a man- does not motivate him to want to. A man will see the need to lead with his wife, when a wife may be weak in spiritual authority, But if she is very strong in it, He does not see the need to be the leader, and lets himself take that break.

Men do not respond to nagging, negative approaches...as we women would not.

  • (Read Exodus Chapter 3&4) Also Read (Ephesians 5:22-33) It clearly states: Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave himself for her, that He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the word, that he might present her to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, that she should be holy and without blemish.

  • @tlewis1428 So what you saying that woman are flawed creatures and we need a man to cleanse us with his holiness? Men are no less sinful than woman are!

  • It is the husbands responsibility to sanctify and cleanse his wife with the washing of water by the word. This is Christ's example. How can a husband have a relationship with a God that he can't hear from. Makes no sense. Also please note that God did use prophets to speak to Kings but he also spoke directly to Kings. (Read & Study your bible)

  • @tlewis1428 Yes, God spoke to kings also, but not every time. Especially when that king had rejected God, God quit talking to him. Many men distance themselves from God and wonder why they can't hear from him. Men are not good at submission to God. Women often hear from God where their husbands don't because we are taught submission from the cradle.

  • On another note, I really loved this episode!

  • Sometimes, as Christians, we get really tired of being told to water down and tone down our message. Because we hear that from people... like daily. At least I do, especially on youtube. If we can't have the freedom to speak our minds on our own videos... what has happened to free speech?

  • So, if you don't like it, how about just not watching?

  • I do like it its very informative for relationships

and im not saying all christians should stfu

if this show said Muslimism every second word id say tone it down a bit to

i dont descriminate against any religion you got freeodm of beleif and freedom of speech but honestly look how much christian bias is in this. im sorry but seriously

  • Well, it is a Christian show, and the people in it are Christians, are the people sending in questions looking for answers are Christians, and the question they are answering has to do with the Bible.

Of course the answers given are going to be Christian answers.

  • Asking them to tone it down is like walking into a mosque and asking the Imam to stop talking about Allah. It's not going to happen.

  • Well said.

  • It's supposed to have Christian bias or Biblical bias, it's a Christian show with Christian / Biblical principles.
