The days of actual competition in design are long gone. The same huge interests that are involved in one car company are involved in the other. There are no more secret meetings and behind the curtain designing. Those days no longer exist. Same goes for countries. No more sovereignty between nations, they're all owned by the same world banks. So to say that Cadillac & Lincoln are no longer in viable competition really doesn't matter to the people at the very top.
Bear in mind that the MKS and MKT are not true products of Max Wolff. The MKZ that will be unveiled at the NAIAS in January will be the first vehicle of Wolff's "vision" of Lincoln's to come.
Lincoln is hands down the most boring luxury car company on the planet, their cars have no excitement, and no specialty vehicles, something all other luxury car companies have, get in the game Lincoln or just stay out for good.
Sorry Lincoln, I'm not trolling here but I literally think you have no chance anymore. The first MKS was decent looking but bland, this is just bizarre. The first MKT was bizarre, the new one makes bizarre look civil. Also why no RWD or V8 vehicles anymore? I say kill Lincoln, bring back Mercury. Cougar, Marauder, and edgy but elegant styling ftw!

Okay, just watched a video of the car in motion, and the main thing I see lacking ins that the cars simply do not have presence. And this comes from years and years of neglect on the part of FOMOCO in not investing time and cultivating the Lincoln brand..to the point where the Lincoln brand can die on the vine.
And Lincoln, you have yet to hire anyone that can truly interpret Lincoln design or direction. Max Wolff is NOT it. Get someone that TRULY knows Lincoln and can put a fresh spin on it!

I mean c'mon, the MKS and MKT reworks are a disappointment, and lets face it, they will not translate into increased sales, and if that teaser in the background is what may be the upcoming MKZ, then you still have missed the Mark!
These upcoming MKS and MKT models do not exude style, class, or refinement. They still look ungainly!
I had high hopes for this vehicle and its refresh. Technology wise, it has met and even exceeded my expectations. The interior has been nicely refined. The rear end is gorgeous. However, the new front fascia makes me do a double take. It makes me ask "Why, Lincoln? Why?!" I believe retro is not the way to go when it comes to new vehicles. Icons & muscle cars, however, are a completely different story. Design language makes or breaks a car. This new direction for Lincoln seems very controversial.
derrick, you need to tell the designers to go back and try again. This is unacceptable. Its not an improvement and quite frankly the ugliest front end I have seen.
