I'm a BIG Doctor Who fan (abet an old school one so I've always known about this song) but one thing has always bugged me about this one.....

Why would anyone moan about a show not being on the air for a longer than normal length of time?

(Never mind the fact that 'The Trail of a Time Lord' was crap barring 'Mindwarp')

It's not as though they axed it (like back in 1989.....)

@hcvang lmao, yeah that was shocking, you can see it was based on some pretentious idea that cos it worked for Live Aid that anyone could suddenly release some half arsed single and save something, there was alot of that thinking in 1985 afte the success of the original but just goes to show how deluded some in the TV and media are.

This was apparently inspired by the "feed the world" concert and incredibly treated as though its cause was just as important. What on earth were these people thinking of? I'm not surprised the casual viewers deserted the show in droves after that.

Ian Levine made some of the best disco music during the late 70s with James Wells, Barbara Pennington, and Croisette to name a very small few. But even he admits this was a miscalculation on his part. I don't hold it against him because it shows how passionate he is about the show, and it needed someone with pull in the industry to save the old episodes from destruction, otherwise the suits at the BBC don't really care.

Well not really ..... I sort of evolved/nicked it from someone who mentioned "pectoral embellishments". Nicola might have a great voice but she can't sing for s**t . Seen her in a couple of theatre plays though and she is a very good actress. She is currently doing an advert on TV for Bold Detergent.
