  • The way those islanders are portrayed is racist.

  • God the narrators voice is annoying as hell

  • it just happened to be an admiral that found the maps. hmmmmmmm

  • " In Search of ...." rocks!

  • Looks like the service men must have also gave the natives a James Brown picture.....just a joke....dont hate me.

  • WOW..I never knew that Rod Serling was the original narrator of In Search of. I thought i had seen all of the episodes. Very cool.

  • @Iccarus72 This was a special before it was actually a TV show. Like how Ancient Aliens was a special, or A Haunting was a special then turned to a show. But yeah, seems like it should be a Twilight Zone episode.

  • I find it very arrogant, and pompous of us to believe that we are the only intelligent life in the vast seemingly endless universe.

  • @dylanfield27 It might even be arrogant to say we humans are intelligent life. :)

  • @dylanfield27 No sorry its relegion that says that.Relegion is arrogant full stop.

  • Leonard Nimoy did a great job, but I wish Rod Serling had lived to narrate the TV series.

  • @CaseyRocky I'll sell you my set of this series. $30.00.

  • The strange thing is, that if aliens did visit the earth then they must of travelled pretty far and were going from star to star but what would make sense is that if they were that ahead of their own type of technology they would not be staying forever because they like to discover and there purpose is to move forward and no traces of tools why because they know how to build proper structures without tools and with them everything is multi purpose, also we are no animal, come on!

  • they should re release this in movie theaters.

  • anybody know how to get this series on box set?

  • WOR

  • Rod Serling was certainly an outstanding narrator. It always frustrated him, though, because he considered himself first and foremost a writer, and yet he could get better paid making a show like this or a TV commercial than for a script he would work for months on.

  • Sweet...!!

  • Rod Serling had a very beautiful voice.

  • @uboot1967 Did Rod SERLING HOST THE TWLIGHT ZONE

  • @Nicholas197813 Yes, he did! And it's a great series!

  • @Nicholas197813 Not only did he host it, he created it and wrote at least 92 episodes of it.

  • @Nicholas197813 Yes, Rod Serling hosted The Twilight Zone. During the first season he just did voiceovers, and in the final four seasons he did on camera hosting. Serling also hosted a later show, called Night Gallery. He got his start writing for live television plays, during the 1950s. Before that, he also wrote commercial copy, for a radio station.

  • @specialforces69 LISTEN IM A BLACK GUY FROM THE HOOD I BELIVE IN ALIENS AND ALL THAT GOOD SHIT DONT CLOSE UR MIND UP

  • i don't mind watching a show this old because science took a halt after the moon landing, ever since our world has not given a crap about the stars, this shit is still pretty relevant lol

  • Be ready Asian women online lushfmlk.info

  • @specialforces69 Television is the problem and the answer. TV lowers the minds magnetical field or frequency by design, it is designed to do this.

Learn about frequencies and you can learn about how the mind can access information that is in all things when you are happy and at peace.

ANger does not connect to the higher information by design, Love and Compassion hold the information we have lost.

  • Did anyone else find that the guy on 1:25 looks like Jonah Hill?

  • I think ancient man himself knew how to build all these things WITHOUT the help from "aliens."

  • @drumrun Ancient man had space flight capablilites shown and demonstrated here. Nasa has working models and proves the ancient megalythic sites all over the world were used for Launching spacecraft with microwave technology.

A war broke out and we lost the informaiton threw mass killing alot like Catholosim did to the cathors and etc.. Knowledge has been destroyed to dis-empower us. Were all kinda like slaves.

  • erich von daniken will be held up like Einstein, Darwin and Tesla one day..

  • Aliens are real.

  • Take a read in Genesis where it says that God called both his creations ADAM, now run ADAM through the Hebrew Lexicon ADAM means low life, cattle, and it also means to be of a pinky colored flesh Im not maiking it up go check it out we are hybrids us pinkies

  • just imagine how nuts the people of the future are gonna know we were when they dig up our civilization in 1,000 years or more...female mummies with giant silicon blobs on their chests, fility mess we made with plastics, fossil fuels, etc., you get the picture...

  • is this Rod Sterling?

  • @wisesatyr72 It sure is, I'm a huge fan of the guy.

  • What a piece of hogwash

  • when earth man starts to look at ancient astronauts as brothers instead of their Gods, earth man will be ready to be citizens of the cosmos, instead of mere residents in a rural part of the universe...still got the child-like search for heroes lol

  • wonderful vid. Wonder what happened to that artifact in the bagdad museum? Bets its not there any more

  • earth is prbly like the south park episode and they just dropped us off here and are seeing how we do while they give us little nudges. but we would just attack them if they came down here out of fright. just look at the area 51 cover up. and the one in redondo beach

  • The 'aliens' are nothing more than fallen angels.....Genesis 6.......1 "And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them,

2That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose."

  • @johnthreesixteen316

I agree, however i believe that angels could have been visitors

    from another planet

however i still beleive there is a creator of the universe

  • 2012.

  • the credibility behind these claims have not increased at all since this 1970s video. Just compare it to the new history channel series and you will show the pointlessness

  • @haveNOuse4aNAME oh yes it has and alot..you just haveto do some research.aint nobody gona just give it to you..you haveto find it.the evidence is overwhelming that humans have been very VERY intelligent 6000 years ago and more.it can be readed from egyptian, sumerian, mayan, aztec, indian..history and religion that something indeed did FLY and came down from heavens.it all happened same time and it makes it impossible to them sail across seas

    watch

klaus dona hidden history human race

    for start

  • @haveNOuse4aNAME

you're an ignorant ass. If you even bother to read tall the myths and stories of ancient civilizations and how they all unanimously refer to heavenly beings that gave them knowledge of higher culture and technology, you wouldn't deny it, bit I guess you're just one of those incurable jack ass "skeptics". I'm sure they had to beat it into you that the earth was not flat also

  • best documentery produced on this planet

  • we were help in our evolution... by who? I don't know!

  • @2013DMT

I think you need to undergo a bit more evolution.

  • @Pepotamo1985 a bit harsh . . but still funny as fuck

  • As we seek God, he seeks us.

  • great video!! one day man's true history will be known

  • it already is but most people are in denial...

  • Even still " I want to believe"

  • I remember watching this in the late 70s and being hypnotized and drawn into the show by Rod Serling's voice. I audio taped it and still have that tape.

  • all men at one time were primitive. We still are. IMO we are mere infants.

  • @bentzenko this is correct. we have much more to learn. but before we can even start to truely learn, we have to get past the idea of ownership. we dont own anything or any one, and we are not owned by anything or any one.

  • @bentzenko I think we are beyond infants, in the 'risky' teenager phase.

  • @robfergusonjr

    Hehehe...you are right, we are.

  • @bentzenko our capabilities are amazing though. I just wish we were not killing ourselves

  • @bentzenko True......especially our politicians.....they are the most infantile of all.!

  • Google video search 'it has begun', you'll get a great Rod Serling doc on the theory. One of his last I believe. Worth the watch if you enjoy this. Peace.

  • Erich von Däniken and Rod Serling FTW!

  • The cartographer had wings ha ha

  • This entire video gives me the creeps! Thanks for posting!

  • I have discovered the truth. and it is more shocking than anything you have ever heard.

i am researching these videos and will be makeing a documentary about the real reason humanity has developed the way it has.

what is truely astonishing is how this has been overlooked for so long.

because we can't see the forest for the trees. I have the truth.

  • thank you all who are posting these interesting videos ! :)

  • Many civilizations all over the globe, including Europeans such as the ancient Greeks, Turks and Romans, have exploited and enslaved neighboring societies for thousands of years, I continually find it amusing that when a European decries racism and that everything is a conspiracy. This may reflect a certain insucurity in onself. I don't agree with many of the ancient ET theories, but some feats by ancient man seem highly improbable, and very difficult even by todays engineering standards.

  • These people had all the time in the world, why did the building just stop?. Thats a big mystery to me, almost as if there is a large gap of time missing.

  • Another question I've always had about this theory if it's true, is why did the aliens stop visiting? We don't see them building and leaving their traces today.

  • @john6380 they leave their traces all the time all around the world

  • @Anet000 Give me an example and evidence. In science, seeing is believing.

  • John, many people believe in the Annunaki as the aliens that visited. The Annunaki are from Nibiru, and Nibiru is said to have a very elongated orbit around the sun (many believe we are in a binary solar system with a dwarf star as our other sun, which Nibiru also orbits around). It's also said that the Igigi (little grey men) stayed by to watch us until the Annunaki could return again. There's many artifacts all over the world that depict UFOs and aliens.

    (cont'd...)

  • (cont'd...)

If you're interested in watching more, you could check out History Channel's Ancient Astronauts documentary or the lecture here on YouTube given by Jason Martell (Ancient Technology).

There are still gaps in the theories, but I believe these videos will lead you to the information you're looking for if you're interested.

  • @seraphinapandora (Part 1 of 2)Is there any peer reviewed scientific study supporting the existance of Nibru, the Annunaki, or the Igigi?

Like I said (maybe it was a comment on the 'Chariots of the Gods?' movie here on youtube), I am very interested in this theory. But having read 'Chariots of the Gods?' and numerous other materials on the A.A. theory I cant find any solid evidence.

  • @seraphinapandora The only ones that really stand out to me are the Nazca lines and the Pyramids. But just because we dont know how they were built doesn't mean it was aliens.

In science, you don't come up with a conclusion then try to find evidence to support it. You take the evidence and use it to arrive at a conclusion.

  • John, most of the evidence lies with historical artifacts and theories. Like a lot of things in science, this is only a theory.

I agree about the Pyramids and the Nazca Lines, definitely.

This starts with Ancient Sumer, for me, and the correlations from there. Their "gods:" "Annunaki" meaning "people from the sky." There is a lot of evidence to say, "It's possible," but not necessarily, "Yes, it happened like this."

  • @seraphinapandora Your right about a lot of ideas in science being theories. For example, the earth orbiting the sun is just a theory.

But unlike earth orbiting the sun, the ancient astronaut theory isn't generally accepted in the scientific community.

The theories of Zecharia Sitchin and Erich von Daniken have been in fact criticized by many scientists, like Dr. Carl Sagan.

In science "It's possible" isn't good enough. But in faith, blind faith, it is.

  • John, I'm not sure how the Earth orbiting around the Sun is just a theory. Isn't that something we can prove? I was thinking more along the lines of The Big Bang and The Theory of Evolution: We have evidence to suggest it's possible and it could have happened, but not that it did actually happen.

Erich von Daniken, from what I know, is a poor researcher and plagiarised parts of his book, so I can see why scientists wouldn't take him seriously.

    (cont'd...)

  • (cont'd...)

But there are many others that support the theory who are much more reputable.

I can't agree that just because the scientific community as a whole criticises a theory, it isn't a good one. Wasn't it dangerous to suggest the Earth wasn't centre of the Universe back in the day? Didn't scientists say there was no water or life on Mars? Scientists are wrong sometimes. And they lie, too.

  • @seraphinapandora The theory of the Earth orbiting the Sun is in fact a theory. When something can be proven absolutely, like gravity, it becomes a law (Newton's law of universal gravitation).

I keep asking but your not telling me those many others that support the theory and who are much more reputable. Who are they? Names please.

About other theories that were looked down upon by the science of the day, I can't really disagree with you. (Continued)

  • @seraphinapandora (Continued)

But I can say that unlike in older times, today's scientists aren't stooges of religion. They check and double check. They use the scientific method. They welcome all theories, then test them and look for evidence to see if they hold up. They don't lie. They research.

And all the research I've seen has shown me that the ancient astronaut theories of today, are unsubstantiated and use coincidences and speculation rather than true investigation and evidence.

  • John, I'm horrible with names, but the two people that come to mind straight away are Jason Martell and Giorgio Tsoukalos. Tsoukalos is a bit religious about it, but he does actually travel about.

I believe Sitchin is one of the few people that can read Sumerian cuneiform, so he might be someone to check out (which I haven't done yet...).

    (cont'd...)

  • (cont'd...)

Scientists do lie. I'm not saying all of them, but it happens. I'm sure most of the time, they don't. But you have scientists, archeologists, etc. out for themselves, like you do everywhere. It's just these people happen to have quite a bit more power and influence.

    (cont'd...)

  • I'm really at my limit here, however, since I don't believe the theory as absolute fact and only see it as a possibility that deserves more serious attention than it's getting. True investigation and evidence are difficult when we haven't the means. And it's not that long ago I started investigating this theory myself. Originally, I mocked it and couldn't take the believers seriously, but I came upon the Ancient Technology video accidentally;

    (cont'd...)

  • (cont'd...)

I'm still searching, wading through all of the theories and "evidence," and trying to organise everything straight. I think something that motivates me (aside from the history) is that religion is taken seriously, yet this theory is not. Some scientists are Christian, yet they mock this theory?

Anyway, what I'm trying to say is I'm sorry if I couldn't provide all the answers you were looking for.

  • @seraphinapandora As I previously mentioned, I too find the theory interesting. So we are on similar pages here.

I looked up Jason Martell and Giorgio Tsoukalos online and I was actually surprised to find they were on T.V. stations like the Science Channel. I also saw Tsoukalos on a youtube video put up by 'legendarytimes' called 'Giorgio Tsoukalos: Leading Ancient Mysteries Expert.'

    (Continued)

  • @seraphinapandora But one thing I noticed about Tsoukalos is that he never seemed to show his evidence from anything else but ancient text and OOPart which could be interpreted in other ways than alien intervention.

The Baghdad Battery and the Ancient Greek computer (I forgot the actual name) that have been found could have been easily due to another other reason than Ancient Astronaut intervention.

Now with ancient tests you might have gotten me, (continued)

  • @seraphinapandora because why would they refer to them as coming from the sky if they didn't. However it is possible as many other ancient legends contain well known falsehoods, exaggerations, and legends.

In the end, there is not sufficient evidence to support the A.A. theory but on the other hand not enough to say ancient astronauts didn't visitHave you seen the Leonard Nimoy episode of the Ancient Mysteries T.V. Show called 'UFOs The First Encounters.' It's great and has multiple viewpoints.

  • @seraphinapandora (Continued from 'beacuse why...) Another thing I reccomend you search out (if you havn't read it already) is Chapter 28 of Carl Sagan's book 'The Cosmic Connection' which talks about the Ancient Astronaut theory.

Why is it that instead of using von danikens broader theories about AA I'm curious why you think Sitchin is more valid than von daniken.

P.S. Sorry if my comments were hard to follow.

  • John, I think Tsoukalos's theories are primarily based on taking ancient texts literally. When the Sumerians say the Annunaki lived amongst them, Tsoukalos is saying we shouldn't take it as a myth or anything, but that these people who supposedly came from the sky actually lived amongst them.

I'll check out those things you mentioned.

As for Sitchin instead of von Daniken, Sitchin is an archeologist that knows many languages, including Sumerian cuneiform, whereas von Daniken...

    (cont'd...)

  • (cont'd...)

...is just an enthusiastic author. I haven't read Sitchin's books on the theory yet, however.

I'm compiling links and theories, and thus far I have written down the names of these people that have been in videos on the AA theory:

Jason Martell, Giorgio A. Tsoukalos, Dr. Richard L. Thompson, Stanton Friedman, Dr. Thomas R. McDonough, Graham Hancock, Ronald Story, Zecharia Sitchin, Dr. Randolpho Pozos, Dr. Michael Zimmerman, and Dr. Robert Harrington.

    (cont'd...)

  • (ancientastronauts dot webs dot com slash apps slash links) Oh, and I believe the "legendarytimes" account is Tsoukalos's account. (Sorry if this posted a bunch of times, it wasn't showing up...)
  • Aliens visiting us? WE are the aliens! LOL

  • Why do people have such a hard time accepting the idea of aliens visiting the Earth? Its insane to believe the whole Universe is just for us.

  • You are dealing with two different concepts.

Your question deals with the extremely improbable visitation of extraterrestrials to earth. As of yet, there is no good evidence supporting alien visitation.

But your conclusion has to do with the possibility of life elsewhere in the universe.

Again, as of yet, there is no good evidence of it. However, the possibility is far greater that other life exists out there than the possibility that alien life forms have visited us.

  • No problem at all - it is a very acceptable idea that other forms of life probably exists. There are billions of stars (suns) in the know universe, even by mathematical probability (see the Drake equation) it seems impossible they aren't out there. My issue is with von Däniken finding nearly ever ancient technological feat as being the work of aliens.

  • He only applies this assertion to developments outside of European culture, which shows it is racially biased in its supposition. Why not claim that aliens gave us the technology for the transistor for example?, or the know how for rocketry?. The assumption is under pinned by the same logic our friend LP on here has posted, that savages displayed no signs of REAL advancement. So therefore they must have been ASSISTED by aliens.

  • Not true. In the History Channels Ancient Aliens he speaks about Stonehenge which is England.

  • fools gold !

  • see the problem with modern science is that it can't accept the fact that ancient civilization had used stuff like electricity and mechanics... Our ancestors weren't idiots people.

  • I agree!

  • Yes - if you get chance do a search on YouTube for documentary called "life after people". It gives you a real good insight into how evidence of our society would fade into obscurity within a thousand or so years, without humans to maintain it.

  • Antediluvian technology was greater than ours. It was taught by the watchers/grigori/igigi (Genesis 6) to their to their children the Nephilim/annunaki. For example they showed them how to make lesser materialistic versions of the merkabahs(Ezekiel1) that were known as vimanas and vailixi. The Nazis rediscovered these vehicles in antarctica (flash frozen Atlantis) and retro-engineered them into their nazi bell, haunebu, vril, etc. A modern vimana is the TR-3B Astra.

  • @killallianceftw No, scientists don't believe that. UFO buffs do.

  • I hate to say it but I think that this theory springs from the perspective of modern European superiority. The basic premise being that other cultures couldnt possibly of had advanced engineering knowledge before modern European society. Therefore aliens must have built that, or helped build it. Also they state at the beginning that said civilizations simply vanished, where in fact many where destroyed during the colonial period.

  • If for some reason our society was taken over by another, and they destroyed our historical text. Knowledge of our achievements in a few thousand years would be scarce also, creating a illusion of mystery around our achievements. Its a very speculative idea that aliens somehow had an hand in our history. But like any other hypothetical it cant be completely eliminated, as we still don't know for a fact there is no ET's.

  • and you can't accept the fact that the natives (savages) of south and north america killed eachother savagely, and did so for thousands upon thousands of years, long before the "evil" colonialists arrived. More native american civilizations and settlements and indeed cultures were wiped out by their fellow natives than by the Europeans. Today's political correct anti-White education has wiped out the truth about these savages.

  • Ahh here we go another paranoid anti-white person conspiracy nut. How foolish are you that after 500+ years of European domination of society & history, you could claim it has been subverted in favor on non-European races?. Please wipe the froth from your foaming mouth & start again. Yes all races are guilty of some level of feudal warfare in their history, even us whites (still). Although we did a very good top of putting a positive spin on it for so long, it dosent absolve our history.

  • suppose the Europeans would have never discovered N. and S. America. Someone would have eventually. Most likely it would have been Chinese or russians or japanese. The very same people who "discovered" america in the first place, 10,000 years prior.

These invaders would have done the same thing as the Europeans. SOme would have tried to work with them (as the British, French) some would have been brutal (as the Spaniards). But the result would be the same. The savages losing

  • But the bottom line is - the savages who were native to N. and S. America had no written language, no laws, no civilized culture. They were bloodthirsty and stone age cretins. The Europeans were literally 5000 years more advance , even back then. THere was no way the indians could understand civilization, and they refused to assimilate. If you love their lifestyle, why don't you live in a teepee and wear some feathers

  • Blah blah - little more than post colonial social darwinst propganda, fused with speculation and highly questionable understanding of other cultures ideologies. Typical misinformed dribble of white nationalist etc. Save it for people of the same low intellectual capability clearly display. My original comment did not contain any statement by me as to the morality of what took place, obviously you are carrying a lot of repressed guilt about the founding of America.

  • Also I made no mention of the America's at all? Do you actually read peoples comments before debating? Obviously you only see your own prejudice and ignorrance in all comments? What a clown!

  • you claimed, originally, that Europeans are arrogant and that the ancient people were just as developed, blah blah.

Stacking rocks on top of oneanother, without a roof, is not technology, engineering, or advanced architecture - it's child's play on a larger scale , using slave labor.

I can think of nothing more primitive and vulgar than stacking rocks on one another for no reason, while breaking the backs of fellow people to do it. These people had lots of time and plenty of slaves

  • Ha ha - you really are a dupe. I will be sure to tell European stone masons & artist and others who produce structures from rock & stone for no other purpose but for art & cultural expression, know what you have written.. I am glad you high jacked my comment, you actually provide a very good example of the faulty reasoning I was describing. Good on you.

  • Okay but stealing another peoples land, and importing & exploiting another peoples as slave labor to build a nation with buildings with roofs = civilized behavior?. Mate if your an example of a positive, proud, educated & informed white person, then our race is really in trouble..

  • the natives stole eachothers' land all the time. And what do you think happened to the conquered? They were alternatively turned into shrunken heads, scalped, raped, forced into slavery, placed on top of altars and had their hearts cut out. Sometimes these cruel human sacrificed were done to children. The English settlers of north america never did any of those things. The spaniards, who were plenty cruel, were even appalled at the savagery of the savages.

  • that;s what i hate bout you racist people.Tryying to justify all the wrong things done by your race and boasting about ur supremacy. dude, the native indian and other non white civilisation were far ahead of you when u were living in the dark ages. Your advanced technology cant built anything even close to the pyramids of giza.ur whole technology is based on ancient sanskrit mathematical concepts. every civilisation has made contribution to this world. Dont be so arrogant.

  • no written language?lol!you cant even decipher their language properly!dude, the mayan calender made before christ accurately predicted the solar eclipse of 1991! if only the fanatic christins wouldnt have burned their books, their science could have given so much to the earth.whtch the docuementry of mayans by graham hancock.

  • @Indiaexpress the knowledge has been given to mayans....

  • "SOme would have tried to work with them (as the British, French) some would have been brutal (as the Spaniards)" You got that wrong mate.

  • elaborate. How did i get it wrong. Read the REAL history of North America. The french and english for the most part tried to trade and work with the indians. But the indians would come at night and massacre women and children, the same indians who traded with them 5 hours prior. So the wars were invevitable. There was no genocide however. Wars yes. Extermination, no. The spanish were another story. But I don't live in mexico or south america. THank god.

  • and who the hell ar u to call some other culture uncivilised and bloodthirsty when u yourself have the blood of innocent women branded as witch, people tortured by slavery and all the bright scientists that were persecuted for defying the church?

  • "Erich von Dänicken, a german professor"

Thats really a funny thing. He is swiss, not german and he has never set his foot into any university. He has no academic education at all.

  • thanks 4 the info

  • This movie is nothing but pseudoscience. Sorry, but its based on human fantasy :(

  • yeah, but its so much fun though

  • @newfagscanttrif0rce fantasy, maybe. but still not impossible.

  • I was very young when this came out in the

70's. It was a very popular theory, and many peoples' faiths were influenced by it. A 2004 article in Skeptic Magazine states that von Däniken plagiarized many of the book's concepts from Le Matin des Magiciens, that this book in turn was heavily influenced by the Cthulhu Mythos, and that the core of the ancient astronaut theory originates in H. P. Lovecraft's short stories "The Call of Cthulhu" and "At the Mountains of Madness".

  • cool

  • Erich von Däniken is from Switzerland, not Germany for starters. How can we go back in time and make assumptions over ancient history when easy things like that being confused?

  • the Iraq battery was to make fools gold

that's all it was used for .

  • bullshit look up the ancient egyptian lightbulb.

  • ok i will try that !

  • i wonder what jackalman99 smoked first before watching this vid ! someone find out if it could be shared with others !

  • Wow this thing seems to be a virtual rip off of Von Danikaans "Chariots 0f the Gods" film with Rod Serling dubbed in.

  • The titles say "based on the book Chariots of the Gods".

  • There's a movie version very like this you know.

  • Its wonderful speculation. The questions asked in this story (and the book Chariots of the Gods) do need to be investigated more. Some are inexplicable.

  • they are every night on coast to coast am!! XD

  • What if they are not 'ancient' astronauts? What if they are here today BUT have travelled back in Time and it has taken all these centuries to get the carvings and paintings to us. Not impossible!

  • Those maps are awesome!

  • it thal a duracell battery....

  • hi....im troy maclure

  • You might remember me from such educational films as "One minus two equals negative FUN!"

  • @ad1000z ''You might have seen me in programs such as...'' LOL

  • There are several historical inaccuracies and false assumptions in this video. (Just because ancient Egyptians had what was clearly a primitive battery does not mean that it was given them by aliens. We know through archeological science that Easter Island once had a larger population and more advanced culture and technology than what Europeans found. Etc., etc., etc.)

Unearthly intelligence has evidently been visiting our planet, but we don't need to invoke it for every archeological mystery.

  • saddam and wmds was a massive cover up,ok yes and people still think it was for the oil,the oil was a bonus for what they really went in there for, this started way back when donald rumsfelt sold saddam and the iraqi army chemical weopons to bomb iran, american politicians created the problem with saddam for this very reason,so they could go into iraq and basicly help there selfs to antient knowledge of suma, not somuch technology but who we are and where we come from as a spieces.thats the secret

  • And the reason or one them at least is to keep the origin of humans a secret because disclosing this secret to the public can discredit all religions.

  • I bet the battery is under review by the same people who knew about the transformer landing in the movie.. oh yea, Sector 7

  • A classic documentary even if alot of it is wild conjecture.

Sad to see the Bagdad Museum as it was before it got "liberated". I wonder what happened to the battery?

  • that was the w.m.d.

  • Comment removed

  • Quite interesting for something produced 36 years ago. They don't make television like this anymore, thanks for posting it.

  • Rod Sterling neglected to say that when the Aztec came upon Techotichitillian (sp) It was already in ruin. No one really knows who built the site .. There is a theory that the whole place was a metal smelting factory . What we see as a main blvd was actually flooded with water as a cooling device and power source.

  • tiahuanaco?

  • I recall the narrator's voice from all the old documentary videos in elementary school (and I'm 23)... Does the study of ancient astronauts have an actual "title"? What classes are necessary and what kind of jobs are available?

I haven't found anything helpful on tha 'net.

  • Ancient astronauts are only as of yet a theory. It is considered a pseudoscience and has no support in the scientific community, so I'm not sure there'd be an official title for this study, or many jobs.

I imagine if it had a title, it'd be something like "xenoanthropologist."

  • The narrator is none other than Rod Serling, creator of 'The Twilight Zone' (1959-64),. You see and hear him a lot in these early-70's documentaries. In Search would've been Rod's gig had he not passed away in 1975 at age 50.

  • "In Search would've been Rod's gig had he not passed away in 1975 at age 50." - Sheriff

Fu$& no!!!!! What a shame. Serling woulda beat Art Bell on the whole Coast to Coast am racket by a good 15 years.

  • i <3 rod serling . ^_^ he is one if not THE best narratior out ther :)
