I watched this two times, and now I can say: It's fake. Maybe just a little, he IS realy good, but at least it's fake. At around 4:33 the piranha plant just disapears as he jumps into it. Sorry, man. That's just impossible. It's fake. But you are very good though!

P.S.: I "speed ran" the game myself a few days ago, and exactly THAT point, the moment I told you about in the first post, that was when little Mario died on my screen. And I will test it again. It's gonna be the same, Mario will die when he touches the piranha plant.

uhh, nope. Tool assisted = done using emulator using slowdown and rerecords. And this was done on an NES console recorded with a VCR.

no if you actually play on the console with the cartridge you can jump over those piranha plants. They fixed the "glitch" (if you want to call it that) in the snes release super mario all-stars. Maybe you should look into something before you claim fake

If you actually take your time (and get all the 1-Ups and Coins), you can still beat this game in less than 15 minutes (and be proud that you had 10+ lives to spare). This looks like it's fake (especially the jumping into the Pirahna Plants), although I think it is possible to beat the game in less than 5 minutes (if you've been playing it non-stop for like a week, so you know all the ins and outs).... Good job though, I'm impressed. SMB3 can be beaten quickly too (not as quickly though) :)

on the actual mario sprite, you can barely touch things and not get hurt, like the line of his hat, its because the hitbox is probably a rectangle around his torso, and the bowser battle is always easy if you know when he jumps, you can always run underneath him

wow. the 8-2 opening was sick. love how you get the star in 8-1 too and then leave it and nail that second pipe while the plant is up. i always get the star like a coward there cause I never thought to play the pipe's edge like that. 1-2 is pretty sweet a little after the beginning, too. cheers!
