My six year old nephew found an old box in a closet full of cassette tapes. He started playing them one by one, and stopped when he found this one. He asked me if he could have it. There isn't a tape player in his house, so told him I'd see if I couldn't burn some for him.
@patriec0 No, before kids there was God and there had been not any/all blasphemousy about it until the Devil had arrived there and had spoken and had shown such an evil deceptive tongue towards those same "kids" that it was then that because the Devil did not want to admit the Devil had been too wrong that it was then that some other "kids" (such as you) had also been badly deceived into speaking/typing blasphemous words also.
@patriec0 Just from the truth, at alltimes (past, present, future), holiness was never and is never and will never be any who had and who do and who will be digested out as any defication(s) type(s) (including "crap") because holiness never had been and never is and never will be any disgustingness and/or filthiness. Therefore, as a nice request, if you're going to use the "holy" word, please gladly don't apply it from a blasphemous chat because it's meant to applied from an appropriate chat.
@patriec0 And, before you get angry at me, please read and repeat within and from your own tongue: Jesus Christ ≠ crappy person because Jesus Christ = holy person.
@SlickD217 They're still around. Brad Roberts (basically CTD since he writes everything) just released a new album this year called Oooh La La under the name Crash Test Dummies, it has a song on there called And It's Beautiful...really good stuff.
I like this band alot, but I can understand why this video was pulled and the band fell from grace. Their first two albums were so much more graceful and elegant. This is a far cry from "God Shuffled his Feet". I can also understand the band wanting to shake things up, but this is too much.
I knew this video existed, but I don't think I had actually seen it. After having "Mmmm Mmmm Mmmm Mmmm" recommended to me, I was struck with the desire to find this video...
When it was over, I felt the need to see if I still had all my teeth -- an effect caused by any good music video.
"With the release of 1996's "A Worm's Life", the band ran into a bit of controversy over the contents of their video for the single "He Liked To Feel It" which depicted graphic dental shots of a teenager trying to remove his own teeth. In Canada YTV refused to play the clip and in the U.S. RCA removed 8 shots before MTV would air the clip."
yah thats just sick ., in the wrong way .. I'm all trying to get used to gross stuff, but ugh man., I hope to gods those are false teeth he has in there... that he's pullin and thanks for all these vids.
I consider myself a moderate CTD fan and I never even knew about this album until randomly surfing them tonight. This sounds way too much like God Shuffled His Feet with a different arrangement. Could the video be less appealing?
cool because the "architectural" rift guitar composition.
Note the guitar answer from Brad singer at the 1st refrain and compare it to the 2nd refrain where Elen's repeat to Brad : wow, it's very cool. No words to describe it...
It starts "There was a boy" very much like 'MMMM MMMM MMMM MMMM' obviously. Many songs on this record were about his terrible bout with writer's block that he never came out of, sadly. The 2 best songs on this record 'Old Scab' being one are about his block.
