Probably my favourite ever PiL song. Have always loved the echoey, spacey sound/feel of the Paris au printemps version but this is great. Unfortunately as madcapoperator pointed out, the bass sound is a little weak here.
Jah Wobble has just finished a new album Psychic Life with Julie Campbell (alias Lonelady), which is due out in November. It also sees Wobble reunited with ex-PiL guitarist Keith Levene for the first time since Metal Box. Check out the new Facebook page.
I'm surprised this hasn't got thousands of views and hundreds of comments. What a great version of the song! (Alright, this hasn't been out here more than a month). Thanks for sharing this.
Peel session recordings sound so good. Often much better than album versions.

Thanks for posting this. Love it- got a great sparse, desolate feel to it, far better than the album version.

I like how these sessions are actually much better produced than all of metal box lol. still, the bass doesnt have the same oompf as that album here.

Brilliant version - thanks for posting. I also enjoyed Jah Wobble's rendition with the Nippon Dub Ensemble (it's on YouTube as well)

Wonderful, truely wonderful times. I'm not sure we'll ever see the likes of PIL/Banshees/Fall/Joy Division etc, etc, again.
