I remember when i was a kid and visited my cousin's house, bless his charitable spirit allowed me to join him as he was replaying the game for what i presumed for the umpteenth time as we both joined in and i do believe that this was the one of the most memorable scenes from that game, when i heard and saw the lightning or something similar as we were searching for the mana fortress. those were good times, and this was great that you posted it up so thanks a lot.
This is a sick song; definitely my favorite in SOM. I am literally playing through the game again, (probably the fifth time in my life) just so I can hear this song. It's great hearing it on youtube but it needs to be earned =)
I'm actually doing a walktrought of this game with my freinds. We used to play when we were 12 years old and now we're 16. The game still has fun as I remembered it to be. The music is one of the mains reasons I'm playing Secret of Mana...They are very memorable.
Best video game soundtrack ever is Suikoden I. Wild Arms I was also top notch. I think Final Fantasy IV and VI were both better than VII, though 7 was excellent. There were too many mediocre tracks on 7.

I've played this game on SNES since childhood, but i always thought Nobuo Uematsu composed it?? Regardless, absolutely brilliant composition.
