Was sitting down the right field line that afternoon. As I recall, he went out to 2nd base at the top of the next inning. Just before the first pitch, he was removed so the crowd could salute him 1 more time.
I was there. I'll never forget when he ran around the side of the field! Love how he played almost every game with heart and passion. It sucks that him and the rest of the starting roster( except for Lee) aren't there anymore. The Stros just aren't the same.
he was my favorite and all i ever wanted was to meet him and get a ball signed but now i cant. i still really want one. and he is a highschool baseball coach somewhere in houston. i can still get one.
I remember watching back in June of '88 when he joined the Major league club as a catcher out of Seton Hall. I knew he was going to be a hell of a player, but I had no idea He would be the backbone of my Astros for the next 20 years. Thanks, Craig, for all of the memories and the moments.
it was his last game...not only was it nice for the ump to dust off the plate twice but also for the pitcher to step off the mound so he could take in his last at bat....FOREVER IN MEMORIES BIGGIO AND BAGWELL, CLASS ACTS ALL THE WAY

it would have been amazing if his last at bat was a grand slam or even a regular homerun

Biggio played the game for the fun of it. He just happened to acquire millions of fans and dollars. No. 7 will live forever in Houston.
