Oh and trumpets. . . It's called using air . . . You should try it some time. That whole trumpet thing in the background from 1:58 to 3:46 was just horrible to listen to. NO support whatsoever in the upper register. You guys sound BEAUTIFUL when you play in the staff.. But once you get to the upper register its just way too pinched and timid. Use air and open up the jaw a little. Relax and get funky with it. Have fun. It's a fun piece to play
Great piece. . . Horribly played. . . No sense of musicianship. Where are the dynamics?!?! Listen to each other!!!! Make the music interesting. . Not just loud, louder and HOLY SHIT!!!
@ZippyDee cvolaires has every right to say this performance was bad, because it was. there was no balance, no dynamics, intonation was crazy, trumpets fracked notes, the tempo wasn't steady, articulation was too short and made the song sound clippy and cut off. this ensemble has potential, but they need to focus in an fix stuff like that. It's a hard piece, i know that from experience. there were some good moments, but overall it wasn't too great.
