ways OMG I was in Whole Foods and I saw Anthony I was like OMG thats anthony rapp then I ran up to anthony and I was like Oh my gosh your anthony rapp. The funniest thing was I dropped my ipod in front of him and he picked it up and halloween was playing. i love his voice normally... but this was just... bad.

regardless of how it should be done normally, he didn't do it right. the piece is high energy; he did it slowly, and you don't need music or other singers in the background to sing quickly.

like I said, his voice is amazing, but his choice to do it slowly was not the best.

Al capella is hard to do as it is! When you do it with a song like La Vie Boheme which a large part of it is musical and should be sung in a group, he did a really good job!!!

It's not really the right song to sing A capella though.. I think he was the weakest singer in the entire movie (out of the main characters). He sang much better in the movie, but this 1:01 version is just horrid. He's singing like he's lethargic

I meant considering a capella performance on a song like this, he did pretty good. Like I said, (and you said) La Vie Boheme is meant to be sung by a large group, and thats probably why the sound wasn't perfect.

Yes, but I've done this song a cappella several times. And trust me - it should be done faster than this. He sounds like he's not quite sure where he is. I suspect he would have done better if he'd kept time with his foot or hand.
