Phil Lewis ended up being almost as famous a frontman as Axl ever could. And definitely had more staying power and creativity over time. Believe it or not I actually like the L.A. "21" Guns better than gnr for more quality material and I will put this first record up against appetitie for sheer glam dirtiness, innocence, and fun.

i think it is hilarious when peopel try to judge a band by looks, who cares of they were Glam (which they really arent) or hair metal or whatever, listen to the music, put a blindfold on if you have to, if the music is good who cares what the band looks like (something the American idol Generation just cant seem to get, to them looks are more important than substance)

@bigmike7379 wrong, Axl was the original singer in LA Guns, thats the band they were in together, then Axl left to form hollywood rose then he rejoined the members of LA Guns (and brought Izzy Stradlin from Holywood rose) and TOGETHER Axl and Tracii Guns formed Guns and roses (If Tracii Guns wasnt in Guns and Roses why else would axl have put the "Guns" in the band name? he already had his own band named hollywood rose)
My opinion only. Today's music is good in it's own right. You have some killer stuff like Five Finger Death Punch, Bullet For My Valentine and many, many others. I am not so close minded as to hate any genre or era of music. I give any song a listen and then see what I think. Yes, I loved the 1980's. That's when I grew up. Hair bands were so fun. They talked a lot about partying and women which we were all into then. Love this song a lot!!!!!!!!!!!!!
L.A. Guns didn't get the recognition some of the more popular Hair bands received, but they made a few better-than-average albums (LOVED "Hollywood Vampires"), but this probably my favorite song from the band. A solid touring machine these guys were. Too bad there are two truncated versions of the band now, but these things happen, I suppose.

Vevo and the music industry has apparently reported many music videos esp. these old famous rock videos uploaded by individuals to take them off so that they can be the only music videos on youtube so that they can advertise the crappy new music trends/artists which most suck. They know that these videos get high viewer hits and their new artists stink and people don't want to hear them but in the end they end of taking off free rock vid without advertisment. Don't use it.
I saw these guys back in 2002 they were opening for Dokken but don dokken did want to play that night and LA guns play the entire show them selves. In opinion it turned into better show that way.

These guys were cool as hell and the music was the definition of the L.A. music scene. The 80's were a great time for music, and most if it was positive like the mood of the country was. Now we're getting crap shoved down our throats and every singer seems to be emo about something or another. And there were real guitar players back then, not lame ass rhythm players like you see now. Music today for the most part blows goats. I'd kill myself if I had to grow up in this day and age.
LA Guns never topped any chart. Always an afterthought, somehow in the shadows of Crue, or GNR, or Skid Row, or...

@MyGunsNRomance Actually they are worse than glam, they are urban punk. They were the pinacle of the LA bands and served to end the entire 80s music wave. Today they are mostly popular in really urban artsy places like SOHO New York were this style of urban punk rock is all the rage. Skid Row is in that category as well despite their 2-3 classic ballads. They have had several recent releases and I catered one 2yrs ago. It was totally the urban punk style.
@Sirscorps AGGREED. Some fell into that alot more than others. When LA Guns debuted it was as a music mill glam band. As thier albums progressed, they showed obvious talent and artistic expression. So to me they somewhat redeemed from that image.Meantime, Skid Row (aka Skanky Ho) and Guns N Roses (aka Nuns with Hoses) were the kings of the glamband world. ALSO, in reality the revered Van Halen met every single criteria of a glam band and yet they arent lumped into that. Its all strange.
@kevingthompson13 I just got back from seeing L.A. Guns (Tracii Guns version) in Green Bay, WI, they were awesome! Tracii's 4x12 was so fuckin' loud it was insane. The singer was excellent as well & she wore a belt buckle that said "I love vaginas", lol.

Its funny, Im from the 80s but have all these newer major bands AS PERSONAL FRIENDS. Ones like Delain, Nightwish and Sabaton. Then theres RANDY JACKSON/Zebra, Heart,Triumph, Foreigner, and Molly Hatchet.

Ok, Pipe down all you trouble makers. Now for me, I believe it was 1987 or so when I was looking into the Axl Rose Tracii Guns split, GnR had their major first hit album, and we wanted to know a bit more about them. All in all, I'd say LA Guns is like Megadeth and GnR are like Metallica, in the way of their musical Hard Rock style and success ultimately. Both great bands, make no mistake!!
I saw them live in early Fall of 2010. They were co-headlining an outdoor concert with Dokken. Both are still great bands that rock. Phil Lewis autographed my LA Guns:Cocked and Loaded CD. Never Enough is still a great song.

Saw these guys in Indy back in 99'.....didn't really know much about them. They opened up for Great White, Ratt, and Poison and they just went up on stage without any hype or hoopla and proceeded to blow all of the bigger name acts off the stage......fan for life after that night.

I hate how Vevo tries to advertise pop, and other music thru these rock videos. They aren't advertising for such music as this So Don't use Vevo cause they helping recent horrible music make money and become popular. I have stopped using VEVO for this reason. See VEVO as the enemy of Rock and the one that promotes and empoweres the music you hate. Meaning if these music videos are the only way the recent music industry is promoting their music. VEVO is a leech.

I bet this dampened greater success of what could have been a great band as people where getting tired of the overproduction of hard rock gone flaccid pop music, the excessive makeup and sissy rockers like Poison and Ratt and the circus monkeys like Mr. Big and the Europe band. Nirvana was a happy new beginning.

@bigmike7379 wrong, Axl was the original singer in LA Guns, thats the band they were in together, then Axl left to form hollywood rose then he rejoined the members of LA Guns (and brought Izzy Stradlin from Holywood rose) and TOGETHER Axl and Tracii Guns formed Guns and roses (If Tracii Guns wasnt in Guns and Roses why else would axl have put the "Guns" in the band name? he already had his own band named hollywood rose)

My opinion only. Today's music is good in it's own right. You have some killer stuff like Five Finger Death Punch, Bullet For My Valentine and many, many others. I am not so close minded as to hate any genre or era of music. I give any song a listen and then see what I think. Yes, I loved the 1980's. That's when I grew up. Hair bands were so fun. They talked a lot about partying and women which we were all into then. Love this song a lot!!!!!!!!!!!!!

L.A. Guns didn't get the recognition some of the more popular Hair bands received, but they made a few better-than-average albums (LOVED "Hollywood Vampires"), but this probably my favorite song from the band. A solid touring machine these guys were. Too bad there are two truncated versions of the band now, but these things happen, I suppose.

Vevo and the music industry has apparently reported many music videos esp. these old famous rock videos uploaded by individuals to take them off so that they can be the only music videos on youtube so that they can advertise the crappy new music trends/artists which most suck. I saw these guys back in 2002 they were opening for Dokken but don dokken did want to play that night and LA guns play the entire show them selves. In opinion it turned into better show that way.

These guys were cool as hell and the music was the definition of the L.A. music scene. The 80's were a great time for music, and most if it was positive like the mood of the country was. Now we're getting crap shoved down our throats and every singer seems to be emo about something or another. And there were real guitar players back then, not lame ass rhythm players like you see now. Music today for the most part blows goats. I'd kill myself if I had to grow up in this day and age.

@MyGunsNRomance Actually they are worse than glam, they are urban punk. They were the pinacle of the LA bands and served to end the entire 80s music wave. Today they are mostly popular in really urban artsy places like SOHO New York were this style of urban punk rock is all the rage. Skid Row is in that category as well despite their 2-3 classic ballads. They have had several recent releases and I catered one 2yrs ago. It was totally the urban punk style.

@Sirscorps AGGREED. Some fell into that alot more than others. When LA Guns debuted it was as a music mill glam band. As thier albums progressed, they showed obvious talent and artistic expression. So to me they somewhat redeemed from that image.Meantime, Skid Row (aka Skanky Ho) and Guns N Roses (aka Nuns with Hoses) were the kings of the glamband world. ALSO, in reality the revered Van Halen met every single criteria of a glam band and yet they arent lumped into that. Its all strange.

Now for me, I believe it was 1987 or so when I was looking into the Axl Rose Tracii Guns split, GnR had their major first hit album, and we wanted to know a bit more about them. All in all, I'd say LA Guns is like Megadeth and GnR are like Metallica, in the way of their musical Hard Rock style and success ultimately. Both great bands, make no mistake!!

I saw them live in early Fall of 2010. They were co-headlining an outdoor concert with Dokken. Both are still great bands that rock. Phil Lewis autographed my LA Guns:Cocked and Loaded CD. Never Enough is still a great song.

Saw these guys in Indy back in 99'.....didn't really know much about them. They opened up for Great White, Ratt, and Poison and they just went up on stage without any hype or hoopla and proceeded to blow all of the bigger name acts off the stage......fan for life after that night.

I hate how Vevo tries to advertise pop, and other music thru these rock videos. They aren't advertising for such music as this So Don't use Vevo cause they helping recent horrible music make money and become popular. I have stopped using VEVO for this reason. See VEVO as the enemy of Rock and the one that promotes and empoweres the music you hate. Meaning if these music videos are the only way the recent music industry is promoting their music. VEVO is a leech.

Great song, terrible video. I bet this dampened greater success of what could have been a great band as people where getting tired of the overproduction of hard rock gone flaccid pop music, the excessive makeup and sissy rockers like Poison and Ratt and the circus monkeys like Mr. Big and the Europe band. Nirvana was a happy new beginning.
