This video forgot to add in all of Hitler's crimes. He was firmly supported by many capitalists (like Ford Motor Company) as a bulwark against communism. Anti-Semitism and the scapegoating of Jewish people is a way that capitalists misguide the people's anger from the capitalist system itself into ethnic hatred. Thus we could probably also add the pogroms under Tzarist Russia to this total, (although that might not be correct since the Tzar ruled over feudal relations of production).
If Capitalism is so evil, why do you live in a Capitalistic country?
This posted question was never answered. Answer it dammit. Or stmfhu.
Get your damned ass out on the street, panhandle until your lazy ass has a couple hundred bucks relying on others just like your damn lying ass would have to rely on others for help in your communistic society, get a gd damned airline ticket, and ship your ass to fuckin' North Korea.
Or get a gd BOAT, and paddle your damn self to Cuba.
I like how this video has no citations and sources, blaims literally every war in the last five centuries on capitalism, over inflates death tolls a hundred and even sometimes a thousand times more.
@FUSA4LIFE Very intelligent response. I actually read history and economic books unlike the man who made this video. All his information is baseless and he inflates numbers dramatically. It's okay if your English sucks. I assumed you were either foreign or stupid. The third world is like it is due to corruption, anarchy, and a lack of development, not the implementation of capitalism.
Good video, but real figures are much higher, capitalism kills everyday about 50 000 people (including 30 000 children) because of hunger and poverty. americans are real bastards...
That is why we characterize socialism as tyrannical and tally up the death tolls caused by the conscious implementation of it. Deaths of people in the real world we call 'capitalism' are not really caused by capitalism but by just that - the REAL WORLD. And we KNOW 'socialism' DOES NOT prevent those deaths. It just causes greater deaths as a DIRECT RESULT of their policies.
(continued) ONLY in 'capitalism'. The fact of the matter is that we know now that socialism has the capability to be extraordinary brutal - indeed such brutality was the norm in every communism society. War, famine, and death is not exclusive property of EITHER capitalism or socialism. People die under both 'systems' (and I use inverted commas because capitalism isn't really a 'system' as such, like socialism is). The point is that socialism produced brutal tyrannies unlike anything seen before.
(continued) you not see this? Probably the dumbest video I've ever seen. Tallying up the deaths of COMMUNISM actually makes sense because those deaths actually WERE caused by regimes who CALLED THEMSELVES COMMUNIST/SOCIALISTS and who were ACTING CONSCIOUSLY ON THE BASIS OF A PREDETERMINED MARXIST IDEOLOGY. These so-called deaths that were caused by 'capitalism' were not caused by people acting on the basis of 'capitalism' by a variety of other complicated factors which you THINK are inherent
What you're essentially doing is adding up a load of deaths caused by a massive variety of complex factors, which took place in completely different parts of the world, and blaming them all on 'capitalism'. HOW does this make sense? Such an argument PRESUPPOSES that ALL those deaths would have been completely avoidable if the countries were socialist instead of 'capitalist'. Such an idea is not only completely moronic, ahistoric, and totally unprovable, but also ridiculously utopian. How can
The deaths around 33 million because of the 20 million Soviet citizens that were Slaughtered by the Nazis confirmed by the Soviet Government recorded.
People who belive this should be send to psychiatrist before it's too late. People who made it sholud be izolated, because for them it is already too late and their ideas are dangerous.
Communism is the most inhumane, cruel, felon, homicidal and thievish system EVER created by humans. And I don't even talk about Stalin, Lenin, Mao, Pol Pot and others - I talk about the IDEA itself.
Why don't you mention about massacre of Native Americans AT ALL? 10 million Natives killed by your ancestor. this number is of course far bigger than jews casualty in Germany during WW2. Canada is their country not white's country. If you are anti-imperialist, you should leave your homeland because it is originally not yours.
This is the most ridiculous and non-credulous video I may have ever seen...
Hurricane Katirna (Faulty Construction) ... TO FEDERAL REGULATORY STANDARDS.
WTF...EVERY death mentioned here is under a non-capitalist regime; Capitalism has not existed and does not exist today...people; fucking educate yourself on what Capitalism is...stop parroting Obama and MSNBC...Government is responsible for essentially EVERY death you have claimed here...every one of them.
@helltrackrider Yep. Great way to easily brush off any criticism. I've seen people use the argument it all the time, except it's slightly different: " Communism/Socialism has never existed" .
(On a serious note, the logical fallacy you implicitly committed here is called the redefinition fallacy; In this case of the "High" variant, whereby the definition is narrowed to excludes previously encompassed features)
Simply blaming these deaths; any of them, on just "Capitalism" is ignorant.
Governments go to war...not an economic theory...seeing as most of these occurances listed are that of Nation States and their oppressions/actions; and not of an economic theory, the number is WAY off...
Certainly, people will die under a Capitalist system ... matter of fact; i'd bet money that everyone will die.
@helltrackrider "that everyone will die." Indeed, eventually, under any regime or system. The point is to assess what is termed in social science "unnatural deaths" under capitalist regimes. And this the point the video uploader is trying to make.
So far however, nothing has matched the death toll of feudalism (And I more concretely mean anti-science dark-agesque feudalism inspiring not only war and killing, but also disease through constriction of genuine medical progress).
Problem with this video; none of the "deaths" are direct motivations of "Capilalism"...as for the Dark Ages ... you can thank religion; primarily Catholism, for that.
Government and Religion ideology motivate oppression and murder ... Capitalism does not motivate oppression nor murder, it cannot be linked to show this...Making claims, as this video does, is very simple...Hitler liked ice cream - ice cream lovers are murderers. see how easy that is?
@helltrackrider You make many assertions, so will try to elaborate on each one.
First, I ask you to define what you mean by "Capitalism", so that we can speak of the same thing.
Second, you make a good point in reminding one not fall in into a package deal fallacy. And thus one thing you encourage the video uploaded to do, for the sake of clarity & academic strength, is to elaborate on each situation at the very least.
People are going to die regardless; it is part of human nature - everyone dies...however, the majority of deaths in this video are caused by "War"...war is a product of Government or Religion - Not Capitalism; capitalism is an economic theory ... one in which no entity controls armies or decisions on a National level; this is controlled by the Government or, as for the Dark Ages, by the Church
If we are to define capitalism as the private ownership of the majority of factors of production (Economics: Land, Labor, Capital), & the search for private accumulation, I think we can show that the incentives of a capitalist system can lead to murder (Although more likely famine or disease on a daily basis); And indeed, these internal dynamics might be what push governments into war (ie. Lobbying/conspiring the US government to get hold of oil in Iraq).
See; this is why I obviously will never be able to get through to you...You are indoctrinated by a complete loon of a professor who was himself indoctrinated and is just passing it down the line.
Capitalism = Free Market; period...Ownership means that one owns the property FREE of constraint, regulation, taxation or compulsive influence (i.e. Government intrusion)...
Dont refer to wikipedia to get a difference; approach the ideology philosophically...
You claim "private ownership" and in the same argument claim "government" going to war...see how this contradicts?...probably not.
Whatever the motivating factor, this is irrelevant, Government going to War is just that - Government going to War; it has NOTHING to do with Capitalism or any economic theory for that matter.
You are trying to use an economic thought process to prove that "Capitalism is responsible for murder"...think about it; Capitalism is freedom - the initiation of force / violence is NOT legitimate...this philosophical fact alone removes Capitalism from any blame.
Think logically; private "ownership" cannot occur if the individual/entity doesnt have free will to do with his property/capital as he so chooses; with respect to others property. Governments nullify ownership.
As for starvation; oppression is the major factor...not allowing or limiting farming production, agricultural advancements, land/livestock ownership, etc...Capitalism DOES NOT advocate this; Governments do...for control measures.
Capitalism allows for free will of the market; if a low food supply is in a region - an entity will see the need and potential for profit and fill the void - thus, no starvation...i guess this is hard to understand being brainwashed.
Children killed by Hunger...again; Capitalism doesnt withold food from people...this is a Government act...see where the majority of starvation occurs and notice how these locations are all essentially dictatorships where every dollar goes to increase the wealth of the leader and/or military class...
The capitalist system can make it so that people do indeed starve, or become diseased. As an economics student, I can think of plethora of scenarios; One being regional monopoly formation (due to both what is called strategy & "natural" factors; Ie. Excess capacity to deter potential entrants vs. Scale economies/capital intensity barriers to entry) which limits supply to maximize profits (Often in the third world where the OECD entrant firm has the advantage. (cont.)
One tenant of Capitalism is that if there is a need on the market place; this need will be met....food is a need, this need would be met.
Unfortunately, in this oppressed countries, the dictatorship 1) will not allow for the ownership of private property for "petty" individuals - which leads to lack of farming due to lack of ownership; which leads to increased food prices due to importation or 2) the dictator allows minimal ownership and steals a large size of the product.
@helltrackrider (cont.) Another instance would be free trade under conditions of low factor mobility (which even is common in developed countries) & price instability (common for cash crops) combined with low income risks (ie, borderline of starvation). This has happened repeatedly in the third world, where specialization in cash crop production led to short term increases in income, but near starvation/ extreme poverty when prices fell (eg. Ethiopia & coffee)
/government etc are killers but yeh the problem is that this same logic wont be applied to themselves and the thing they support for which they dont get
1.6 Billion people killed by capitalism? That's about a 5th of the global population, you pulled that fact out of no where, dirty communists! Nobody trusts you!!!
The Native Americans were far more scarcely populated, and germ (Small pox ant etc) is not genocide because People had neither knowledge nor control of microbiology.
British imperialism was mercantilism, not free trade.
Smoking deaths are due to capitalism? WTF? How stupid are you? Luckily the Nazis were the first socialist to ban smoking. I guess capitalists don’t ban free choice?
@islandmuffin Actually, settlers deliberately threw blankets infested with small pox on Native Americans. and No, there were nearly 100 million of them in North and South America from the early 15th century on.
@islandmuffin "Smoking deaths are due to capitalism? WTF? How stupid are you? " 'Thank You For Smoking' can explain it far better than I can. Just know that profit is profit regardless of the sale.
"Luckily the Nazis were the first socialist to ban smoking."
You're suggesting that fascists are more responsible than capitalists? Decent argument.
"I guess capitalists don’t ban free choice?"
The grand champion of all capitalist shit arguments. Go home and murder your parents. It's your right.
@islandmuffin The tired "disease" excuse, are you also going to say the Nazis didn't commit genocide because most of their victims in the Nazi concentration camps (including tons of Communists and Marxists) died of disease (like the epidemic disease typhus that killed Anne Frank), overwork, and malnutrition. European imperialist invaders used smallpox blankets aka the start of biological terrorism. Also the invaders caused it, they knew and wrote happily of their crimes.
How stupid are you not to know that the Pol Pot and Khmer Rouge murdered 2 million people. The CIA, Dumb F**k, did not plant 2 million people in the killing Fields. Pol Pot did.
Slave trade, which was most prolific in ancient Arabia, and brought to modernity by the Portuguese, could not involved free trade, because the slaves were not free, like North Koreans are slaves to their communist state.
@islandmuffin "How stupid are you not to know that the Pol Pot and Khmer Rouge murdered 2 million people."
The United States allied with the Khmer Rouge, giving them $51 million in aid to go against the Soviet Union. The fact is, The United States screwed up relations with most countries in SouthEast Asia, so they were desperate to gain a foothold of influence there. Just like how they supported corrupt dictator and vehement anti-communist Suharto- who just happened to be one rich bastard.
@islandmuffin "Slave trade, which was most prolific in ancient Arabia, and brought to modernity by the Portuguese, could not involved free trade, because the slaves were not free"
Have you any idea how Europe is so rich today? I'll give you a hint. It's not because they act 'civilized'.
And of course it was capitalism! The slaves were the commodities, the non-human animals.
@islandmuffin "like North Koreans are slaves to their communist state."
Have you noticed how nobody has any information on North Korea? I'm wondering how you know so much about that place! If you could direct me to any non-aligned, reputable source, I may just agree with you.
Oh! But of course North Korea is an evil communist place full of slaves and starving children! No, wait, that's just the 4 billion people in Africa, Latin America, India and China.
When did Japan have a free market economy? Their fascist economy was controlled by their emperor.
The cold war (including Viet Nam and etc,) was an ideological war, where Americans were fighting the very communism that factually murdered 140 million people, and pushed billions into soul destroying perpetual Poverty. Mao alone may have murdered 65 million people.
@islandmuffin "Their fascist economy was controlled by their emperor."
Japan's emperor was a figurehead. Everything, including trade, was directed by a war-council of ministers and high ranking soldiers. And the traders themselves were privatized enterprises. Take Mitsubishi for example. It helped make the vast majority of Japan's mechanical might, as Volkswagen or Heckler and Koch had done for Nazi Germany. These companies made profit off the war. Just ask Oskar Schindler.
@islandmuffin "Americans were fighting the very communism that factually murdered 140 million people, and pushed billions into soul destroying perpetual Poverty. "
Proof or it didn't happen. And billions into perpetual poverty? Billions? Bullshit. Perpetual poverty? The Soviet Union alone grew from the world's greatest economic disparity society to have one of the world's largest middle class. I beg to differ. Of course, mistakes were made - but far less than under the Tsarist regime.
@islandmuffin "Mao alone may have murdered 65 million people."
65 million people... Must have come out of your ass for it to be so inflated. And for your information, Mao had attempted a cultural revolution to industrialize and advance China, not to murder his own people. You could compare his failure to that of a doctor performing a revolutionary new technique to cure cancer. Sometimes, theories just don't work out as planned.
Only the most ignorant hate-filled ignoramus would think that Saddam’s aggression has nothing to do with Iraq’s downfall. Saddam committed Kurdish genocide and invaded Kuwait. And –Very STUPID Person – The price of oil went up after the liberation of the Iraqi people, so there was no profits, and if government agencies profited then it was fascism or the hybrid of business and government like Halliburton, GM and GE.
The video was moronically false on every point, and your pushing it only magnifies your delusional stupidity:
Capitalism requires free markets. If it involves government it is socialism, fascism, communism or mercantilism. Imperialism does not involve free markets. Capitalism required the separation of business form state. All that is not socialism or fascism is not capitalism. If it is taken at the end of gun, it is not capitalism.
"Saddam’s aggression has nothing to do with Iraq’s downfall. "
Thank you for explaining the FIRST Gulf War. Now about the Second Gulf War and the Invasion of Iraq? Perhaps you would like to justify the six hundred thousand Iraqi civilians killed not by Saddam, but by the United States? Perhaps you would like to tell me why Saddam all of a sudden has WMDs?
@F0XH0UND93 you are wrong, the "standard" capitalism existed since the dawn of humanity, at the dawn when the Money was invented by kings and rulers in tribes about 100 000. Capitalism was invented thousand years ago but...BUT, since 1700, capitalism was controlled by an evil who demonized it, whop used it to gain more profit. Eventually americunts used it and manipulated it, changing the rules and ways of old capitalism. Capitalism always killed before but USA amplified this disease.
@ 2:34 "Famine was made by Kulaks who destroyed massive amounts of crops to protest collectivization"
WRONG!!!
The Ukrainian famine was carried out deliberately by Communist Bolsheviks (mostly Jewish) in order to destroy the Ukrainian people and break their Nationalist spirit
Umm what range of years are you even taking into account? I see WW2 clearly listed, yet you also list the African slave trade. Why not list 1000 years back as well. Or do you *JUST* count Post United states? Why not toss in the crusades for the lolz?
Great video, and those fucking Capitalist fools brainwashed by propaganda try to claim that Socialism is evil...
As for those fools saying imperialism is un-related - well imperialism is part of Capitalism, it is done for one reason almost all the time: profit and helping the Capitalist economy as it's easier and cheaper to use labour in the 3rd world, pure capitalism.
Fvck y0u, another crapitalist americunt yank idiot. Go sv<k some G. W. Illuminati CIA Bush ballz. You know sh!t, leep barking like a dog. Capitalist idiot, you are the same sh!t, un-different shit from each other who cant thinl smarter, using their superior's arguments to fight their evil master's enemies. Burn to hell!
death to america and monrachy, fvck your queen pvs$y, idiot
Poor fool, you never knew true freedom and democracy. your b!tch queen is eating your plate, she is scratching on your back, you work for her profit. she has everything while you have nothing like a bummer, starving like a dog and yet here you are BARKING OUT propaganda to serve your evil master who brainwashed you.
yea my grandfather live in communist Poland, he say me everything about this "great" times. I remember when i was 8 years old and i need to stay in the queue for 5 hours to wait for piece of bread and meat. Go to hell bastard with your communism.
FVCK Y0U POLISH garb@ge, got to hell with your murderours crapitalism and hitler and take your dirty moronic grandfather with you in hell. your GF knows shit about communism. HE NEVER LIVED IN COMMUNISM idiot. he was just another brainwashed dog of the west. Shut up. my parents and GP lived in true communism for 50 years, i think they know it better than you. poland was never communist.
The Japanese Fascist's death toll is actually a lot bigger than 12.7 million. It stands at 30 million according to Chalmers Johnosn' "The Looting of Asia'
second: N. Korea started Korean War and number is much overrated
third: if you love communism so much go to N. Korea, and see how your awesome communism works!
fourth, since where japan empire was capitalist? hahaha
this video is piece of bullshit, i know that you commies won't agree cuz u believe in fairy tales, communism is illusion, only free market guarantees progress if you can't understand that u don't have any about economy!
He's right, communism has never actually happened, all the countires America has labelled as communist are in reality socialist, or Stalinist or the like. If communism is done right it will be amazing, and the society of greed we live in will finally end
@ElVellosoVasca What a stupid thing to say. That's like saying if men stopped raping women, we would have no more rape. Wow, no shit! Great insight there dude. It's one thing to live in your Utopian imagination, it's quite another thing to create a society which will do this.
Even if we accept that proposition, which is not based on the best evidence, capitalism is still the more destructive ideology in the past and the biggest threat to our future. How do you respond to the ecocide, the vast destruction of war and profiteering, the destruction and waste of resources that capitalism fosters?
Though I don't agree with the political policy of Nazism, Hitler was the victim of Capitalism, as most neo-Nazis today are. If you look at Russia today, there are many neo-Nazis because of the fall of the Soviet Union. Capitalism took over and the Capitalist thought, "Why should we pay the natural born Russians to do a job for x amount of dollars when we can pay an immigrant less to do the same job." The born Russians feel threatened and resort to Nazism.
@manbryant86 "Yeah, the rise of fascism had nothing to do with communists mass murdering millions of Eastern Europeans or anything. Idiot."
Any student with rudimentary High School knowledge knows that fascism began with nationalist ventures and unrestrained hate. The rise of Fascism is only relevant to Communism in that Fascists blame Communists for 'corrupting the government'. In Hitler's viewpoint, Germany had surrendered to the Entente because Communists and Jews betrayed the Germans. Hmm.
@unifieddynasty and that is just the high school version and nothing more(plus a rather crude definition of fascism). For further investigation you need to know what made it possible for Hitler to gain so much popularity(not the economic crisis alone), which role the "freikorps" played in that, who let them loose and why.
@DeHerg The economic crisis was the key major event that sparked the rise of fascism. Because of hyperinflation, the worthlessness of the mark, and being billions of dollars in debt from the Great War, the German Weimar government could not keep the loyalty of its denizens. Thus, communism and fascism arose. Of course, fascists blamed communists and Jews for backstabbing the German military and declaring a premature peace agreement. The Freikorps were also anti-communist, as they felt betrayed.
@unifieddynasty - communism arose already before the economic crisis you mentioned (Novemberrevolution 1918)
this event together with the mass murder in russia forced the social democratic government to rearm the freikorps(because the didn´t want a repeat of russia) which later caused more trouble than they should prevent, almost to the point of civil war
- the hyperinflation was 10 years before hitlers rise to power, between that was the period known as the "golden twenties" up to 1929
@DeHerg "this event together with the mass murder in russia forced the social democratic government to rearm the freikorps"
Yes, weren't the freikorps loyal to the brownshirts? The freikorps were veteran World War One troops, were they not? But regardless, the freikorps were given credit (or blame) for stamping out all the little pockets of communist anarchy that sprung up in the Deutschland, most famously Berlin and Bavaria.
@DeHerg "the hyperinflation was 10 years before hitlers rise to power"
It lasted until plans were made by joint American-British efforts to reduce the war debt unfairly owed by Germany. But it was this cause, Germany's ruined economy and resulting poverty, that fueled Hitler and the masses to follow Hitler. Many accounts of former Nazi members proved that they had only joined out of hope of economic restoration, or to simply not starve. The manipulated economy resulted in National Socialism.
@unifieddynasty no it lasted until the introduction o f the rentenmark one year before the dawis plan and both events were approximately 10-9 years before hitlers rise to power. The economic crisis which contributed to hitlers power was the world economy crisis in 1929 (during that crisis the german money did undergo a deflation not a hyperinflation)
@manbryant86 If you would like to blame anyone for the rise of fascist belief, try blaming the predominantly capitalist League of Nations. They did chicken-shit to stop fascist expansionism in the interwar years. Hell, the United States even openly traded with Fascist Italy, even as Italy was annexing Albania and Abyssinia.
No, Communists were the ones being repressed by fascist governments - not the other way around. Many of the first victims of concentration camps were indeed Communists.
i don't know why i am bothering with this since i made a similar post a few months back, but here goes.
Here are a few flaws with your stats.
-The Korean War started w/ the KPA Crossing the 38th, the "Capitalists" were merely defending themselves. Also, the USSR could have prevented UN relation, but being the unintelligent people that they are, chose not to attend.
-Child Hunger (The US exports more food than any other nation)
-Cigarette deaths(people smoke everywhere, not jsut capialists)
@Jammer8x8 The world's food supply is cultivated for profit, not need. Regardless of how much food the US exports, it's obviously not going to the people who *need* it.
1) Profit or not, it is food that other nations would not have if the US did not produce in such large quantities.
2) Turning "profit" into a bad word really irks me. By making a profit you are are fulfilling a need, since the money other gives is less valuable to them than what they receive in return.
3) The US gives enormous amounts of food to needy people. Hell, a few years back we gave food aid to N. Korea.
You can't be charitable if you do not have a surplus.
@Jammer8x8 Your charity from the United States only accounts for 0.1% of the country's Gross Domestic Product. In other words, while the capitalists take vast amounts of resources out of third world countries, they only put back 0.1% of it.
The problem is not surplus. The problem is greed and the uneven distribution of such surplus.
The only accomplishment by charity is to clear the consciences of 300 million Americans, who actually believe they are generous patricians.
5) The US does not take resources, its called trade. They gives resources and we give money and capital. In the end both parties are better off. And as I have stated before. The US is the world greatest exporter of food. We don't just take, we gives resources to people all over the world
6) You're not a clairvoyant, so stopped pretending that you can see into the hearts of 300 million people.
@Jammer8x8 5. Unfair trade. Because of capitalism, monopolies spring up in Third World countries to such an extent that capitalist multinationals literally control the countries. Through monopolization and outsourcing tactics, the multinational corporation is able to buy resources to the lowest bidder, forcing supplies to compete amongst each other. In this way, the companies gain the greatest profit, and the suppliers, mostly farmers and factory workers, gain virtually nothing.
@Jammer8x8 6. I don't need to see in the hearts of 300 million people to know that most of them feel they contribute enough to help the third world. But how is the average $35000 yearly salary even compare to the $20 per year donation? And even within that tiny sum of charity, the money is absorbed by all kinds of expenses that have nothing to do with the third world! Did you know that CEOs of charity organizations make as much money as many CEOs in capitalist corporations?
@Jammer8x8 1. No communist nation is on the list because no communist nation is part of the First World. It is prudent and sensible to improve conditions at home first, before venturing out to save the world, aye?
2.Greed gives surplus to donate. However, Greed only donates as much as to fill the conscience of the donors. As long as they believe they have contributed, they believe it is enough. But how is it enough, when so many people die of starvation and disease in the Third World?
@Jammer8x8 3. This is irrelevant. The number of charities does not affect the amound of aid.
4. Once again, compare their profits with their expenses. Then compare the profits and expenses of every corporation and multinational fielded by the First World.
@juliaisafilmbuff123 And how, prey tell, do you expect food to be cultivated if you don't give farmers a monetary incentive? I don't see you cultivating food for the poor. Fucking prick.
This is much much more valid as an argument against capitalism and most of these actions can be directly linked to the ideology itself, whilst all the murders related to communism, simply do not relate to the ideology in any sense, what so ever.
This video is more valid than any other video claiming communism kills, like this one... watch?v=iyUu-8nbd58
It's funny every year the capitalists seam to add more numbers to communism's death toll as for maorebel said if Stalin killed that many people wouldn't Russia be one big graveyard?
A fair attempt but cataloging all those who have died from capitalism is impossible the numbers are too vast and are almost incomprehensible. I think you're a bit light on the deaths from British imperialism, general imperialism and general capitalism. While selling oil in Euros may have upset the US I think the 2003 war was just a naked attempt by the US-Britain to steal Iraq's oil. In this respect they have been regrettably successful.
Videla and Massera left 30.000 missing people, they tortured and dissappeared people for implant a neoliberal model with no democracy and violating the human rights. We know that crimes against humaniny was commanded by the CIA here, in they courts the state terrorists confessed it, in 1985 during the historical trial to the military junta.
This sort of over-the-top oversimplification hurts my head. I don't know where to begin. Capitalism, while far pretty f***ing far from perfect, is not something you can put in statistics on how many have been killed by... damnit.
@SentientRaven To be fair, people blame "communism" for millions of deaths that (may or may not have) resulted due to its policy. Why can't the same be said for capitalism?
@juliaisafilmbuff123: It might, but it sounds like that whole "why can't white people use the N-word?" discussion, it's just pointless. In all my years of commie-bashing, not once have I felt the need to resort to a measurement of how many have been killed by whom. Sure, many capitalists do the same, but personally I fail to see why anyone should therefore feel compelled to imitate the mistake. I'd say the same thing about any capitalist video with the same line of reasoning.
And why you not mentioned the "Dirty War" done by the CIA in Argentina? The Operación Cóndor and all. The Fascist Militar Dictatures on Latin America during the '70s.
You'd have to add a qualifier to capitalism for this list to be accurate at all. It is the state, in every case, that kills the people.. not the act of increasing productivity through savings, borrowing, and elongating the production process.
Becoming wealthy may create more powerful states but it is the state itself that is the problem.
@geoedwar The state was only created to protect the private property of the elite. We have elite today; they're called CAPITALISTS instead of kings or feudal lords.
@Cran1988 hey idiot Pol Pot wasn't communist, and I 've done this list back to counter the lists of idiots who follow the black book, can't take it in return?
First, Imperialism and Capitalism are not synonymous terms not matter how much you attempt to pretend. Capitalism can happen in a free market setting... capitalism is harmed in an imperialist setting.
Capitalism does not equal government. Unfortunately we cannot say that about Social Planning... that you endorse.
Why THIS song? WHY?????? :(

SzpakBarwnyPtak 2 months ago
That is why we characterize socialism as tyrannical and tally up the death tolls caused by the conscious implementation of it. Deaths of people in the real world we call 'capitalism' are not really caused by capitalism but by just that - the REAL WORLD. And we KNOW 'socialism' DOES NOT prevent those deaths. It just causes greater deaths as a DIRECT RESULT of their policies.
CMTours732 3 months ago
@CMTours732 These people have a religious devotion to communism/socialism. There is nothing you can say that will change their minds.
axe863 2 months ago
(continued) ONLY in 'capitalism'. The fact of the matter is that we know now that socialism has the capability to be extraordinary brutal - indeed such brutality was the norm in every communism society. War, famine, and death is not exclusive property of EITHER capitalism or socialism. People die under both 'systems' (and I use inverted commas because capitalism isn't really a 'system' as such, like socialism is). The point is that socialism produced brutal tyrannies unlike anything seen before.
CMTours732 3 months ago
CMTours732 3 months ago
What you're essentially doing is adding up a load of deaths caused by a massive variety of complex factors, which took place in completely different parts of the world, and blaming them all on 'capitalism'. HOW does this make sense? Such an argument PRESUPPOSES that ALL those deaths would have been completely avoidable if the countries were socialist instead of 'capitalist'. Such an idea is not only completely moronic, ahistoric, and totally unprovable, but also ridiculously utopian. How can

This is the most ridiculous and non-credulous video I may have ever seen...
Hurricane Katirna (Faulty Construction) ... TO FEDERAL REGULATORY STANDARDS.
WTF...EVERY death mentioned here is under a non-capitalist regime; Capitalism has not existed and does not exist today...people; fucking educate yourself on what Capitalism is...stop parroting Obama and MSNBC...Government is responsible for essentially EVERY death you have claimed here...every one of them.
helltrackrider 7 months ago
@helltrackrider Yep. Great way to easily brush off any criticism. I've seen people use the argument it all the time, except it's slightly different: " Communism/Socialism has never existed" .
(On a serious note, the logical fallacy you implicitly committed here is called the redefinition fallacy; In this case of the "High" variant, whereby the definition is narrowed to excludes previously encompassed features)
Scientisticsoviet 7 months ago
@Scientisticsoviet
Simply blaming these deaths; any of them, on just "Capitalism" is ignorant.
Governments go to war...not an economic theory...seeing as most of these occurances listed are that of Nation States and their oppressions/actions; and not of an economic theory, the number is WAY off...
Certainly, people will die under a Capitalist system ... matter of fact; i'd bet money that everyone will die.
helltrackrider 7 months ago
@helltrackrider "that everyone will die." Indeed, eventually, under any regime or system. The point is to assess what is termed in social science "unnatural deaths" under capitalist regimes. And this the point the video uploader is trying to make.
So far however, nothing has matched the death toll of feudalism (And I more concretely mean anti-science dark-agesque feudalism inspiring not only war and killing, but also disease through constriction of genuine medical progress).
Scientisticsoviet 7 months ago
@Scientisticsoviet
Problem with this video; none of the "deaths" are direct motivations of "Capilalism"...as for the Dark Ages ... you can thank religion; primarily Catholism, for that.
Government and Religion ideology motivate oppression and murder ... Capitalism does not motivate oppression nor murder, it cannot be linked to show this...Making claims, as this video does, is very simple...Hitler liked ice cream - ice cream lovers are murderers. see how easy that is?
helltrackrider 7 months ago
@helltrackrider You make many assertions, so will try to elaborate on each one.
First, I ask you to define what you mean by "Capitalism", so that we can speak of the same thing.
Second, you make a good point in reminding one not fall in into a package deal fallacy. And thus one thing you encourage the video uploaded to do, for the sake of clarity & academic strength, is to elaborate on each situation at the very least.
(cont.)
Scientisticsoviet 7 months ago
@Scientisticsoviet
People are going to die regardless; it is part of human nature - everyone dies...however, the majority of deaths in this video are caused by "War"...war is a product of Government or Religion - Not Capitalism; capitalism is an economic theory ... one in which no entity controls armies or decisions on a National level; this is controlled by the Government or, as for the Dark Ages, by the Church
helltrackrider 7 months ago
@helltrackrider (cont.)
Scientisticsoviet 7 months ago
@Scientisticsoviet
Dont refer to wikipedia to get a difference; approach the ideology philosophically...
helltrackrider 7 months ago
@Scientisticsoviet
You claim "private ownership" and in the same argument claim "government" going to war...see how this contradicts?...probably not.
Whatever the motivating factor, this is irrelevant, Government going to War is just that - Government going to War; it has NOTHING to do with Capitalism or any economic theory for that matter.
Remove the Government; and you remove the War.
helltrackrider 7 months ago
@Scientisticsoviet
Governments nullify ownership.
helltrackrider 7 months ago
@Scientisticsoviet
As for starvation; oppression is the major factor...not allowing or limiting farming production, agricultural advancements, land/livestock ownership, etc...Capitalism DOES NOT advocate this; Governments do...for control measures.
Capitalism allows for free will of the market; if a low food supply is in a region - an entity will see the need and potential for profit and fill the void - thus, no starvation...i guess this is hard to understand being brainwashed.
helltrackrider 7 months ago
@Scientisticsoviet
Children killed by Hunger...again; Capitalism doesnt withold food from people...this is a Government act...see where the majority of starvation occurs and notice how these locations are all essentially dictatorships where every dollar goes to increase the wealth of the leader and/or military class...
helltrackrider 7 months ago
@helltrackrider (cont.)
(cont.)
Scientisticsoviet 7 months ago
@Scientisticsoviet
One tenant of Capitalism is that if there is a need on the market place; this need will be met....food is a need, this need would be met.
Unfortunately, in this oppressed countries, the dictatorship 1) will not allow for the ownership of private property for "petty" individuals - which leads to lack of farming due to lack of ownership; which leads to increased food prices due to importation or 2) the dictator allows minimal ownership and steals a large size of the product.
helltrackrider 7 months ago
@helltrackrider (cont.) Another instance would be free trade under conditions of low factor mobility (which even is common in developed countries) & price instability (common for cash crops) combined with low income risks (ie, borderline of starvation). This has happened repeatedly in the third world, where specialization in cash crop production led to short term increases in income, but near starvation/ extreme poverty when prices fell (eg. Ethiopia & coffee)
Scientisticsoviet 7 months ago
@helltrackrider
thus communism killed no man people

Mao alone may have murdered 65 million people.
islandmuffin 9 months ago
@islandmuffin "Their fascist economy was controlled by their emperor."
Japan's emperor was a figurehead. Everything, including trade, was directed by a war-council of ministers and high ranking soldiers. And the traders themselves were privatized enterprises. Take Mitsubishi for example. It helped make the vast majority of Japan's mechanical might, as Volkswagen or Heckler and Koch had done for Nazi Germany. These companies made profit off the war. Just ask Oskar Schindler.
unifieddynasty 7 months ago
@islandmuffin "Americans were fighting the very communism that factually murdered 140 million people, and pushed billions into soul destroying perpetual Poverty. "
Proof or it didn't happen. And billions into perpetual poverty? Billions? Bullshit. Perpetual poverty? The Soviet Union alone grew from the world's greatest economic disparity society to have one of the world's largest middle class. I beg to differ. Of course, mistakes were made - but far less than under the Tsarist regime.
unifieddynasty 7 months ago
@islandmuffin "Mao alone may have murdered 65 million people."
65 million people... Must have come out of your ass for it to be so inflated. And for your information, Mao had attempted a cultural revolution to industrialize and advance China, not to murder his own people. You could compare his failure to that of a doctor performing a revolutionary new technique to cure cancer. Sometimes, theories just don't work out as planned.

Hmm.
unifieddynasty 1 year ago
@unifieddynasty and that is just the high school version and nothing more(plus a rather crude definition of fascism). For further investigation you need to know what made it possible for Hitler to gain so much popularity(not the economic crisis alone), which role the "freikorps" played in that, who let them loose and why.
DeHerg 1 year ago

- the hyperinflation was 10 years before hitlers rise to power, between that was the period known as the "golden twenties" up to 1929
DeHerg 1 year ago
@DeHerg "this event together with the mass murder in russia forced the social democratic government to rearm the freikorps"
Yes, weren't the freikorps loyal to the brownshirts? The freikorps were veteran World War One troops, were they not? But regardless, the freikorps were given credit (or blame) for stamping out all the little pockets of communist anarchy that sprung up in the Deutschland, most famously Berlin and Bavaria.
unifieddynasty 1 year ago
@DeHerg "the hyperinflation was 10 years before hitlers rise to power"
It lasted until plans were made by joint American-British efforts to reduce the war debt unfairly owed by Germany. But it was this cause, Germany's ruined economy and resulting poverty, that fueled Hitler and the masses to follow Hitler. Many accounts of former Nazi members proved that they had only joined out of hope of economic restoration, or to simply not starve. The manipulated economy resulted in National Socialism.
unifieddynasty 1 year ago
@unifieddynasty no it lasted until the introduction o f the rentenmark one year before the dawis plan and both events were approximately 10-9 years before hitlers rise to power. The economic crisis which contributed to hitlers power was the world economy crisis in 1929 (during that crisis the german money did undergo a deflation not a hyperinflation)
DeHerg 1 year ago
@DeHerg Ah, then perhaps I shall simply state that Hitler's rise to power was largely attributed to the economic crises of the interwar years. :)
It poses for less contradiction.
unifieddynasty 1 year ago

Jammer8x8 1 year ago
@Jammer8x8 The world's food supply is cultivated for profit, not need. Regardless of how much food the US exports, it's obviously not going to the people who *need* it.
juliaisafilmbuff123 1 year ago
@juliaisafilmbuff123
Jammer8x8 1 year ago 2
@Jammer8x8 Your charity from the United States only accounts for 0.1% of the country's Gross Domestic Product. In other words, while the capitalists take vast amounts of resources out of third world countries, they only put back 0.1% of it.
The problem is not surplus. The problem is greed and the uneven distribution of such surplus.
The only accomplishment by charity is to clear the consciences of 300 million Americans, who actually believe they are generous patricians.
unifieddynasty 1 year ago
@unifieddynasty
1) As percentage of GNI, the US is 20th (#1 is sweden with 1.1%), its not a great difference. No communist nation is even on the list.
2) ignoring %, the US gives more total aid than anyone else by far. "Greed" allows economies to grow, if you don't have wealth you can't donate.
3) Wiki the "Wealthiest Charitable Organizations" and see how many are American.
4) Also wiki some greedy capitalists like Warren Buffet & Andrew Carnegie.
Jammer8x8 1 year ago
@unifieddynasty
con't
5) The US does not take resources, its called trade. They gives resources and we give money and capital. In the end both parties are better off. And as I have stated before. The US is the world greatest exporter of food. We don't just take, we gives resources to people all over the world
6) You're not a clairvoyant, so stopped pretending that you can see into the hearts of 300 million people.
Jammer8x8 1 year ago
@Jammer8x8 5. Unfair trade. Because of capitalism, monopolies spring up in Third World countries to such an extent that capitalist multinationals literally control the countries. Through monopolization and outsourcing tactics, the multinational corporation is able to buy resources to the lowest bidder, forcing supplies to compete amongst each other. In this way, the companies gain the greatest profit, and the suppliers, mostly farmers and factory workers, gain virtually nothing.
unifieddynasty 1 year ago
@Jammer8x8 6. I don't need to see in the hearts of 300 million people to know that most of them feel they contribute enough to help the third world. But how is the average $35000 yearly salary even compare to the $20 per year donation? And even within that tiny sum of charity, the money is absorbed by all kinds of expenses that have nothing to do with the third world! Did you know that CEOs of charity organizations make as much money as many CEOs in capitalist corporations?
unifieddynasty 1 year ago
@Jammer8x8 1. No communist nation is on the list because no communist nation is part of the First World. It is prudent and sensible to improve conditions at home first, before venturing out to save the world, aye?
2.Greed gives surplus to donate. However, Greed only donates as much as to fill the conscience of the donors. As long as they believe they have contributed, they believe it is enough. But how is it enough, when so many people die of starvation and disease in the Third World?
unifieddynasty 1 year ago
@Jammer8x8 3. This is irrelevant. The number of charities does not affect the amound of aid.
4. Once again, compare their profits with their expenses. Then compare the profits and expenses of every corporation and multinational fielded by the First World.

@Jammer8x8 So true. A profit produced a surplus and we can't give food away without it. Don't explain that to these idiot communists though.
manbryant86 1 year ago
@juliaisafilmbuff123 And how, prey tell, do you expect food to be cultivated if you don't give farmers a monetary incentive? I don't see you cultivating food for the poor. Fucking prick.

there needs to be a "scared capitalist" program where they get sadistic communists like you and set them straight.
cperez352 1 year ago
This is much much more valid as an argument against capitalism and most of these actions can be directly linked to the ideology itself, whilst all the murders related to communism, simply do not relate to the ideology in any sense, what so ever.
This video is more valid than any other video claiming communism kills, like this one... watch?v=iyUu-8nbd58

It's funny every year the capitalists seam to add more numbers to communism's death toll as for maorebel said if Stalin killed that many people wouldn't Russia be one big graveyard?
Shadowalliance1990 1 year ago
You suffer from liberal guilt man.
cperez352 1 year ago

Capitalism, while far pretty f***ing far from perfect, is not something you can put in statistics on how many have been killed by... damnit.
SentientRaven 1 year ago
@SentientRaven To be fair, people blame "communism" for millions of deaths that (may or may not have) resulted due to its policy. Why can't the same be said for capitalism?
juliaisafilmbuff123 1 year ago 2
@juliaisafilmbuff123: It might, but it sounds like that whole "why can't white people use the N-word?" discussion, it's just pointless. In all my years of commie-bashing, not once have I felt the need to resort to a measurement of how many have been killed by whom. Sure, many capitalists do the same, but personally I fail to see why anyone should therefore feel compelled to imitate the mistake. I'd say the same thing about any capitalist video with the same line of reasoning.
SentientRaven 1 year ago
And why you not mentioned the "Dirty War" done by the CIA in Argentina? The Operación Cóndor and all. The Fascist Militar Dictatures on Latin America during the '70s.
borealisimperium 1 year ago
You'd have to add a qualifier to capitalism for this list to be accurate at all. It is the state, in every case, that kills the people.. not the act of increasing productivity through savings, borrowing, and elongating the production process.
Becoming wealthy may create more powerful states but it is the state itself that is the problem.
geoedwar 1 year ago
@geoedwar The state was only created to protect the private property of the elite. We have elite today; they're called CAPITALISTS instead of kings or feudal lords.

@geoedwar Imperialism is a tool for capitalism. It's the reason why the First World is the First World today.
