Yeah that really isn't a sarangi at all.. Sarangi have at least 3-5 stings.. this is probably an ektara.. meaning one string. or a tambura played with a bow. It actually resembles a chinese instrument called an EHRU to me. But it still sounds cool.

THIS IS BRILLIANT!i HAVE BEEN LOOKING ALL OVER FOR THIS ADORABLE LITTLE PICE OF MAGIC! Did he say the belly is made of an earthern pot covered with star paper? Can someone pleez get me one..I live in the art-less, smoke-ridden city of Mumbai where these innocent lil instruments can never be found. This requires genius to make and play it with such dexterity and sweetness..just one string ( wire) and such soul coming outa there! thanks Kamla for this lovely vid! Regards from a musician
