whats the name of the song in the first 30 seconds PLEASE and also isnt there another song that has the same lyrics thats harder than that? Please resond!
No prob, Family. The Delfonics, The Spinners, The Stylistics, and The O'jays are some other "Philly Funk" styes from those days to check out. Lot of the HH sampled their stuff, very groovy. Might be able to hear them on Oldies stations. : )
Not that I'm aware of,as of now Mark has turned to Ministry and I don't know about Nino(Pony J). As far as I know b-cuz I moved to H-Town awhile back,so I'm not in the current mix of the tone xcept when I go back and produce for the artist I work with.
I dunno, It might have been, but I didn't see it myself. I lost contact with Carla and her cousin Tracy, they had alot of talent, and were some beautiful suthern gals dat are related to YO-YO(Ice Cube).
PKO was in the news back in like 92/93 when they came out wiht Shoot the Police. IT made news headlines becuase their shirt has differnet police departments listed but had SAPD in the crosshairs of a gun on the back...Randy Beamer for then KMOL (now WOAI 4)tried to contact Youngsta Records, but they could not be reached for comment"
I don't know why they couldn't be reached. But on the back of the CD Cover for the They scared of a N**** album it only had the address, no phone number. But I remember Randy Beamer, anchor for now WOAI(then KMOL) having a grimmaced face while reading the report.
I think her album was released as a single (Give'em Somethin' Proper) in 1992 on LP/Tape only instead. (On Youngsta Records) I saw a 1994 newspaper clipping with a picture of herself and about her album coming out in Feb. 1994.
What was your name back then? (1992) Because I was just looking at it on eBay and I couldn't find your name listed on the back of the LP. It has DJ AK listed on the back. Were you uncredited?
@DJMixerrTube -What up homie? It was DJ DOC,& Me & alotta other ppl went uncredited, like my homie Jason Effect ,for example, but his name appears on Princess Kaos's Album/Single.
So that's why I didn't see your name. Why did you go uncredited with DJ DOC, DJ AK, and all those other ppl. Nino (CEO) and Majic Mark didn't give you and hose ppl any props when they shoulda, I take it??
@DJMixerrTube -That's the way things worked back then. Most albums from that time period were collective efforts most of the time, and it wasn't seen as that big of a deal. We didn't know that the business aspect was that important. Now I do though!!!--lol
I used to have dont fuck with texas back in the day but i played it so much the tape broke. i would cop it if i had da cheese right now cuz it is bangin.
Nino is really the only most vocal member of PKO. The original members are Magic Mark,K-Sam,Kotton Mouth,DJ Snake, and DJ AK-47 if my memory serves me right.
I tihnk that was his name. I lost alot of my CD covers two years ago thanks to divorce and the exwife kept/sold everything. On the CD "They Scared of a N****" on the Outro track he started off with "Well I'm Curl Earl and I'm next up..." and on the No Pain No Gain CD it said Free Curl Earl.

That would be The Intruders "Cowboys to Girls" old 60s group, haha, my Pops had a bunch of old records. Remember that song as a kid, early '80s.
