if the Magpull preforms well in it's requierd battle combat critiuria and preform's well in sertian condition's it is my new favorite gun but with some modification's :) AMAZING GUN!!!!!

One thing i've noticed is people automatically assume that it's Flat Dark Earth when some companies, like Smith and Wesson use a "Dark Earth" which isn't quite as neutral of a brown as the "Flat" version. The Dark Earth is more of a like soil dirt brown and the FDE is more like exposed dirt brown. And agree with most others when I say the Grip tape on the pmag is nice

soak that magpul kit in some hot water and brown rit dye for id say 4 min , and i bet it a perfect match., you can get the dye at your local grocery store., try it on a few xtm halves and see how long u need to soak., im guessing 4 min., try it out., whats a few xtm panels to the HQ :)
@MultiSr16 Very true. Here in the headquarters we actually have a lot of extra XTM rail covers but unfortunately they are black. I did some research and it sounds like black is the wrong color to start with, it doesn't absorb and show color well. I'll look around my house and see if I can find some extra FDE stuff to try staining.

Cool! I like the fde on the Springfield a little bit more than on the AR, I have magpul fde on one of my ar's and I wish it was a little darker, its still a great color. Great vid
@evankoeve It's hard man, I really enjoy both. To be honest I find the XD9's FDE to be a little too dark for me. However like you said both of their coloring is awesome.
@MustyYetisTacticalHQ haha, its all personal preferance my friend. Where my land is, its mostly thick woods and swamp so darker works better for me. I havnt seen all your videos yet, do you have a chest rig or any platform set up for your AR-15? thanks
@evankoeve It definitely is personal preference. I dont think people on YouTube understand that concept. They jump all over you if you say or do something that you like. They think their way is the only correct way of doing something and knock you for being different; it drives me up a wall. Actually I do have a chest rig all set up. Im sure youve seen my pouch videos, Im doing one video at a time. I learned you need to space out your videos so you don't run out of content. Ill upload it soon

You can't yell at someone for placing a modification (like the MBUS sight) on wrong if it's what helps him or her shoot better... so either way it's all good. My first piece of evidence is Travis Haley (Magpul Representative) who sports his back up sights the same as me in the Magpul Dynamics - The Art of the Tactical Carbine videos. The second is their instruction manuel that shows which way faces forward, which is the same as I have. However it doesn't matter, its totally up to the operator to face them whatever direction they think works best for them. Thanks.
@ProGunTexan Shit dude I wish. That’s one thing I wish I could do, BELIEVE ME. I live in an area where there are no shooting ranges and no public land to go out and shoot on. The closest range is an hour and a half away. You add up gas, time, ammo, and range fees it would cost me a fortune. I could go illegally shoot on farmers land but that’s not something I would ever do. Believe me I know what you’re talking about.

I didnt do black because I didnt want to put all that money and work into my rifle just to have it look the same, black. Whats nice about the FDE is people know exactly what parts are aftermarket. Yes I know that gun people like me could tell that a black rifle is all decked out but I just like making my rifle look different than stock.
